The place did not look like the photos, floors were spongey, smelled of musk and misdue, i could go on but the kicker was the bullet holes on three side of single wide trailer not a cottage. Did finally get $500 refunded back but feel that the total amount should have been refunded back due to safety issue and would not stay there
It was not a cottage! It was a single wide trailer! No accomodations for a disabled person trying to go in & out! No outside pictures provided. The inside was clean.
This property is in a quiet neighborhood. Ample space inside, bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. Good size yard to boot! 100% recommend and will rent again!
Great for Covering the Basic Necessities with Perfect Location
Joe was a fantastic host for communication & responsiveness. We used this home as an emergency stay when we were out of power & internet. I was able to work at the provided desk area, complete my overdue laundry, keep our food frozen/refrigerated, and relax with AC & watching TV. I do wish the listing was a little more transparent that this is a mobile home by including a photo in the listing. To be absolutely fair, this was the cheapest option available so it was a decent rental price. My only critique is the exterior needs to be pressure washed and the dilapidated outbuildings need to be removed so that guests aren't shocked & tempted to turn around. This really was sufficient for our needs at the time.
House had terrible musty smell and mold on ceiling - not at all like listening. Could not stay due to health concerns from mold. Shared the issues with host wo just said"we'll put it back up". Tried to reach VRBO but could only get online chat that just kept saying we can't handle this issue. Don't rent and don't trust VRBO - they listed as "premier".
My two sisters and I took a trip to Savannah. We are all over 75 years old. It has been my dream to see Savannah. I chose this cottage because of the price and the reviews. We were not disappointed with the house. I would recommend the cottage to anyone.
We had a great Christmas with our daughter-in-law & grandbabies there. Stayed 5days 4nights. It was enough room for all of us & I brought my Christmas tree to put up. đ
The property is listed as a cottage but in reality, it's a mobile home (trailer) that's at least 50+ years. Due to its age, it had a smell of being older. Once you are there the smell because it's a light odor becomes obsolete. The home needs some updating but is very comfortable. Coming into the subdivision is a little intimidating due to the fact they are mostly mobile homes some newer and some older. As any subdivision some people take pride and keep there properties up and some don't. We had a small issue in the bathroom, but the property owner immediately took care of the issue. Also, the property owner is very communicative with anything you need. Overall, don't let the issue of the subdivision sway you they are just hardworking people making a living and living life. Also, you are about 20 minutes away from historic Savannah, but the interstate is not too far away and easy to travel.
Decent stay -some items not working but great hot water for a shower
Great internet but our cell phones did not get service
We loved the peace and quiet and the view of the night sky
The place smelled horribly, unlivable with such a smell. We walked out within five minutes of entering the place and left. Had to scramble to find another place for the entire 6 day stay. The description does not mention that it's a trailer home either.
If you're looking for a quiet location about 25 minutes from downtown Savannah, this is a great place. Nice and quiet. Comfortable sleeping arrangements. Great hosts.
