Wonderful, cozy cabin perfect for our family Christmas trip! The location is great! Close enough to major atttactions but tucked far enough away to still feel private. Check-in process was a breeze. Kitchen was well-equipped for meals. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Mattresses seemed to be newer. Our host, Jean was so kind and quick to respond to any messages. We would definitely stay here again.

The hosts were fantastic - so welcoming and quick with responses. The house was beautiful and comfortable, the beds are firm foam and VERY comfortable. The little welcoming touches all around the house made our stay perfect!

We had a great stay at the Cozy Bear cabin. Great location, very clean, and everything to offer. The back porch with the fireplace was our favorite gathering place, while our boys loved the hot tub and downstairs game room. Would highly recommend.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful and amazing. Very pet-friendly which was nice considering we brought two of our dogs along with us. The cabin was very close to Pigeon Forge and Townsend, which is where my family and I wanted to visit the most. The cabin itself was extremely clean, that bed was by far the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. We enjoyed the hot tub and the outside fire pit. We spent a lot of time down in the movie theater and my mom really enjoyed the little arcade games that were in the kitchen area. We also saw a few bears during our stay. Our first encounter with a bear was 2 hours after we first arrived. The host was extremely helpful and responded quickly whenever we needed help with something. Overall this experience was absolutely amazing and I hope to return to this cabin in the future when we visit the Smokies again!

A wonderful cozy cabin

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect for our family and our 2 dogs. Beautiful cabin, we loved the decks! The location was so peaceful, would stay here again. This home made us fall in love with Wear's valley.

Excellent Stay in the Mountains

The property is absolutely fantastic! The hosts are awesome and easy to deal with. The family had a blast. Close to all the outdoor activities and waterfalls we were looking for and close enough to some of the tourist stuff for the kids. We will book again next year! Thank you!

Quiet , comfortable and clean

Good parking, lots of appliances and cooking tools, very comfortable beds- everyone raved about them. Location was quiet- very little traffic but close to the cute shops in the valley. Fairly quick to get to the IGA in Townsend, and gas. Tons of TV channels and very good wifi.

Spring Break Family Stay

The cabin was very clean and was in a great location. We really enjoyed the cabin. Only issues were ladybugs all over upstairs bedrooms and outside fireplace did not work.

Wonderful Family Vacay

Amazing Stay

Very quite place. Cabin was extremely clean and set up perfectly. We probably booked for 3 days but it turned into a 5 day trip! Our Host was very quick to answer any of our questions and very helpful. Highly recommend this location!!

Great time

We stayed here for a few days in Jan 2025 and had a great time. I will say this cabin maybe wouldnt be great for elders just because there isnt a direct passway from the main cabin to the game/theatre room down in the garage. You have to go outside and take the steep steps to get there. That did prevent grandma from going downstairs and playing down there with us, but thats okay. The place was clean, and just as described: We had a great time. Very steep hill to get up to the drivrway though. 4x4 in the winter months would be a must.

Great "Cabin"

We had a large group for our daughter's 18th birthday and this place was perfect. Theater, game room, fire pit, large kitchen, plenty of sleeping options. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin close to town

My family stayed here for 4 nights and it was truly a great experience. The inside of the cabin was clean, the game room in the garage was great for having fun, and the view was very pretty. I would say there were only two things we had issues with. The down stairs bathroom towels had a very strong musky smell. The other bathrooms upstairs didnt have the same smell. The outside of the cabin was filled with spiders all over the porches. For someone who hates spiders I ended up have a black widow on me and that was not fun. Other than those things my family had a great experience and would love to be back.

GREAT PEACEFUL GETAWAY

We fell in love with Wears Valley and Townsend -- such a calm place -- yet with plenty to do!!! we will stay here again -- this house was just perfect! LIKE NEW on the inside....lots of togetherness and plenty of room to be "apart" when needed!

Dream Home

It was the perfect vacation home. One porch has rocking chairs that you can sit and enjoy the scenery the second porch has a electric fireplace that you can't seem to leave. But you need to get to the game room and play some pool and ping pong, Or maybe to the theater room to watch a Football game. Bedtime is also a dream in very comfortable king size beds. Perfection! Just Perfection

Wonderful and memorable

We absolutely loved this place! The location was fantastic. One of the last houses up the mountain and very private. We saw a bear on our first trip back down the mountain, barely an hour after arrival in the middle of the day. He was casually walking on the road. We were behind him for a couple of minutes before he decided to go back into the woods and clear the road. That was the closest I've ever been to a bear except for a zoo. The downstairs with the ping pong table, billiards table, and movie room was great. If you see ping pong balls with an orange T on it, we bought them (the other balls were flat). You're welcome. I loved that there were restaurants nearby. Also for those who love antiques shopping, this area is fantastic for that! Adorable country and antiques stores are all over the place. This cabin is relatively new, private, the bedrooms are very big, the mattresses were extremely comfortable (I checked the brand cause I'll be buying these!), the porches are wonderful to relax on, and the distance to the hustle and bustle in town is not bad at all. We'll definitely be coming back at some point in time. We loved this cabin. Great memories! Thank you, Jean!

Beautiful home.. just not as projected to be.

I will start by giving the home credit where it is due.. the home was clean, updated, and absolutely beautiful. I would say these home owners care about their home’s maintenance, and their guests stay. On the other hand, I will say that when we vacation there are certain things that we Need during our stay. We took this into consideration when booking. Advertised were the entertainment options.. Please note there was not a basketball goal as pictured. There are not stairs to the basement/entertainment area from inside. This posed an issue to us as we had a mother and six month old, a six year old, a thirteen and fourteen year old, and two miniature dogs. We were in an unfamiliar area for a beautiful wildlife experience.. that experience did not include our children potentially facing that wildlife in order to go to the theatre room/games. We did not use this area. The house projects itself to be a private area to enjoy the smoky mountains. There are two neighbors watching from the front deck. There is a shared driveway with a shared gate, and a camera posted to the tree. There was a neighbor with many windows facing the back deck. Which aligns directly with the hot tub. This home uses a ring doorbell- I get it! But we choose not to rent from houses with cameras with our own reasons. Simply put, if an updated, informative description were in place I wouldn’t have rented. I was disappointed for that reason alone. Until I almost got accused of bear damage from a third party…
