The grounds were great for family fun, but still in the process of being fixed up. Some areas were still unfinished on the grounds. There were a few things I wish I had known prior to booking. The sheets had black hairs on them and the outer bedding held a lot of hair bc it was made of material not easily cleaned. At least one of the mattress covers had pretty bad yellow stains near the head of the bed. The bathrooms and bedrooms do not have a general clean feel. The listing states that a caregiver is on the estate but it is not clear that it is in fact in the same house. They are just in the basement apartment which shares a porch with the house. They run a rental car business out of the driveway so cars are in and out of the driveway so need to keep an eye on the kids running around. Due to this, it’s not private feeling. You are very much with the caregiver/owner. Very helpful person if needed, but if you are looking for a secluded getaway…this isn’t it. Feels more like a shared space.
