« Really nice staff - friendly and helpful. Location is good - right across from the beach so you can hear the sound of the sea from the bedroom. Room itself is tired and could do with an update. No locker on one side of the bed. The use a macerator in the bathrooms so it makes a loud noice when you flush the loo or empty a basis. We had no hot water when we were there. « Issues about the room Open the door - strong musky smell even with the window open. On arrival in the room I had to remove 5 spiders (each in different corners of the room) aswell as several cobwebs. Carpet had a massive stain upon entering the room which probably added to the musky smell. Room uninviting and very small for double. Décor was 1970's styled, looking incredibly dated. Bath had large scattered spots of paint so you certainly wouldn't bath in it. Can’t shave as there’s no plug in...

« Great views from the bedroom towards the sea (apart from the infamous Shanklin lift shaft). Sun rise while lying in bed was fantastic to see. Staff were great and the food was good. Although some areas were a little worn and could do with a bit of TLC, it was very clean and tidy. »

« Lovely warm welcome,having arrived on foot as we were walking around the island. Room newly and nicely decorated and very clean. Biscuits in room and coffee machine were nice extra touches.
