„We stayed at the Montigo Resort hotel as we were going to the Rock and Ribs festival. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes away from the festival by car. The hotel itself has a nice setting and does have a nice relaxed feel. Our room was fine and the bed comfortable. We did feel the room looked a little tired, especially the bathroom. „I feel sad writing this review as this is such a lovely building with huge potential to be a great place to stay.
However, the Inn was actually closed on our arrival and all the lights were off, someone was waiting to check us in, but then left immediately after showing us to our room. There was only one bath towel and hand towel which we needed to share, the room was on the front facing a busy road and junction with traffic lights. As it was hot, there was no fan provided. „Hi Jamie is a lovely young lady that runs the pub.
Very helpful.
The property is an old pub.
There’s homemade food but no breakfast.
But up the hill is a great cafe called The Hive.
Unfortunately due to the heat we had to have window wide open, the problem is that it’s a is a busy road and therefore you hear lots of traffic noise even late at night .
The bedroom 2 has a blind on back wall that lets light in from hall way .( I personally would block )
The shared bathroom needs some work ( ...

„The cottage was perfect for our needs and Vicki was a great host. We have a bit of a nervous doggy but Vicki kept her dogs out of the fenced area while we were there so there were no issues there. Loads of beautiful walks in the area, perfect for the doggo! The cottage has a great little kitchen with everything you need and the bedroom and bathroom are excellent.“
