Sheringham is a much-loved seaside town with award-winning beaches, a new leisure centre and pool, cliff-top golf, and woodland walks. Its high street is filled with boutique shops, cafés, restaurants, and inns all just a short stroll from the cottage so you could dine out every night and always find something new. The beach itself is wide and sandy, ideal for summer sunbathing or bracing winter walks. The town also hosts popular events, from the 1940s weekend and Viking Festival to a lively summer carnival. Nearby, Sheringham Park offers a thousand acres of woodland and coastal scenery, while the heritage steam railway gives a nostalgic way to explore the coast. The mainline train station links to Cromer and Norwich, and by car you can reach the Norfolk Broads or explore salt marshes, rolling dunes, and picturesque quays. Attractions close by include Cromer Pier, BeWILDerwood, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, and RSPB reserves.
