I will never do business with this owner or with VRBO again.
We arrived at the appointed check-in time. Parking for the building is very limited, and each unit has an assigned parking space, with a sign over each space. We arrived to find a car parked in our space. There was no place for me to park, so my wife got out and went in the adjacent businesses trying to find the carâs owner. No luck. We then called the owner and asked him to have the car removed from our space. Instead, the representative suggested we drive around for an hour and see if the car left. We drove around the area looking for a parking space within a couple of blocks, but there were none. We went back to the unit, the car was still in our space. We called the owner again, again the representative refused to tow the car and suggested we stay somewhere else that night and try our space again the next day.
At that point we gave up and drove home. We never even set foot in the unit, as we were unable to park anywhere. We requested a refund and were denied. This total lack of cooperation or concern for a renter was unacceptable. In an area with such limited parking, the owner has a responsibility to enforce parking regulations, which they clearly did not. âDrive around until they leaveâ is crappy advice to someone who drove for 2 hours and spent considerable money to get there. For $300 per night, a parking space should be included and guaranteed. Zero stars.
