Hôtel près de Site archéologique Shiryōkaku, Hakodate, Hakodate

« It was honestly one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in. The bunk was basically a small room, the showers and bathrooms were very clean, there were towels and soaps and other toiletries available. The community lounge area has a water dispenser, a vending machine, a washer and dryer, and a TV that anyone could use. I would definitely stay again. »

« This is one of the most beautiful properties we’ve stayed in our rather extensive international travels in the past two decades — quiet, stylish, elegant and aesthetic, more like an art museum with books, paintings, sculptures, historical train models. It locates inside a national park and directly connected to a very private lake. Most impressive is its staff who are so kind, patient, profesional, putting extra efforts into making our stay enjoyable. Many guests stayed there were Japanese and...

« Very smooth check-in. The place was really beautiful. The location was good, too. Quick walk to the red brick area. 20 minute walk to the ropeway. We were there in June, and didn't need to use the fire place, but the smell of woodsmoke was there. During winter, you expect the smell of wood burning, for sure, but I was not expecting that in June. However it didn't bother us since it was kind of like staying at a camping site. Just wondered if this might not be great for some people sensitive to...

« This was the perfect stay for our one night in Hakodate, but wish we could have staying longer to explore the city and enjoy this wonderful hotel! The amenities are top notch, from the private and public onsen, to the complimentary drinks and snacks, to the beautiful and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is such an array of Japanese food and loved the late night ramen. Such a nice way to unwind after a day of train travel. Really enjoyed the views from the property and truly felt relaxed here. »
