It's a about a half mile to the center of Sitka which has the majority of the shopping and dining options. « Hemlock House was perfect for my stay in Sitka. The house is cozy, beautifully updated and well appointed. Great view of the lake and mountains. Easy ride or walk to town. Nice backyard for children to play. I enjoyed the covered outside patio and backyard deck for morning tea. Paula and Steve were wonderful hosts. Thank you for sharing Hemlock House and the use of a vehicle for my entire stay, which was a great surprise and beyond useful for carting groceries and the grandkids. »
