« I attended a weekend conference at this hotel so it was selected for me. The staff were most friendly and my conference was excellent, but the hotel let itself down with ludicrous prices for food and beverages -- and my room had a ceiling of enormous cobwebs (see photo). One glass of red wine and a pint of beer was 13 pounds. The restaurant was full on the evening I arrived so I had to eat in the bar. My salad had 4 lettuce leaves and did not come with a dressing (see photo). The kitchen...

« Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

« We had a really lovely night here. We came up to stay for a sports competition. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and made a special effort for us to have an early breakfast. The rooms were fine and clean. The rooms are basic but it's a good price for it. Beds were comfy. We ate in the restaurant, and the food and service was fabulous! Would happily stay again if I was in the area. »

"L'établissement est vraiment propre et calme (sauf la musique au restaurant = trop forte). Seul piÚce manquante: une lampe au dessus du bureau! Pour travailler c'est vraiment trÚs juste. Dommage aussi qu'ils n'aient pas eu un adaptateur pour prise d'ordinateur (celle qui m'a été donnée était trop petite). "
