Voyage en famille
6 janv. 2026
The unit is advertised as ski-in/ski-out, but it is not. Regardless of snow conditions, access is walk-in/walk-out through the village rather than direct ski access, which was the primary reason we booked this property and paid a premium.
The condo is very small (approximately 600–700 sq ft) and felt tight for a family of four with ski gear. The twin bunks are immediately next to the bathroom with no door so using the restroom after kids are in bed was difficult, and the twin beds were very hard and uncomfortable.
Several basic kitchen items were missing, including a can opener and a full-size skillet. We had to open cans with a knife and cook ground beef in a small omelet pan.
The owner also entered the unit during our stay without prior notice or permission to drop off an item, which was unexpected and uncomfortable.
Additionally, Solitude’s only on-site breakfast or coffee option is a full sit-down buffet at approximately $25 per person. It would have been helpful to know in advance that groceries were essential. We arrived without them and had to rely on a very small market that was nearly sold out, leaving frozen breakfast burritos as the only option the first morning.
We are former ski-house owners with a short-term rental ourselves, and for a premium booking over New Years, the experience, size, and access did not align with the listing or the price paid.
