Family coast stay

Great location, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Four upstairs bedrooms and one downstairs. It was really nice sitting in the hot tub on the deck listening to the ocean. The downstairs game room was great and we really enjoyed the theater room. Overall the house was excellent. The only thing people need to know is most of the living area is upstairs and the only way to get there is by the stairs, which could be an issue if someone has a physical issue with stairs. Close to town but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. House is well equipped with kitchen appliances and most anything you need for a stay. I would highly recommend the place.

Tootsie’s beach getaway

Had a wonderful time at the property with family and pets. Actually being in the house and seeing the view personally, the pictures don’t do it justice, it’s incredible. Was probably our last spring break with one of our own, but we and her will have the memories of this place,and running free on the beach in the wind for a lifetime.

Great Beach Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this amazing home. Everything was clean and it felt like we had our own private beach a short walk away. The view from the main floor is amazing, and our kids were amazed and entertained by the movie room, instruments and games. There were also plenty of amenities, books, games, etc. We would definitely stay again.

A wonderful place to enjoy the Oregon coast

This was our fifth visit to the Oregon coast extending back to the 1990s. I wanted to introduce our grandchildren and my sisters to a place we've enjoyed returning to. The gathering spaces were perfect for the 10 of us who stayed there--all of us had a seat at the dining room table and a place to curl up in the living room and watch the sun set. There was space in the kitchen for multiple cooks. The five bedrooms were spacious with all but one room having king beds. There was a great game room and home theatre downstairs which we didn't use since the great outdoors was just a step away. But it would be nice to have during rainy weather. The ocean was a short walk away on a paved but steep driveway. But if the walk is too steep for you there is a parking area at the end of it. If you've never been to the Oregon coast before, the beach is amazing--very wide, hardly anyone else there, you'll feel like you have the beach all to yourselves. We had a cookout on the beach one evening and it was nice to haul things down in our car because of the parking area. We did not use the hot tub but enjoyed sitting out on the deck and listening to the ocean and enjoying the sunshine. Make sure you read the information that you'll receive when you arrive. There are paper products as well as soap and dishwasher detergent provided, but not enough to last a group of 10 for a whole week. You might need to bring some paper products or purchase them once you get here. We loved our stay!

Excellent get away

This house is great for a family get together. Plenty of seating around the table for meals and things to keep the kids busy. The media room was a big hit with the piano and electronic drum set! Easy to get to the beach and we got lucky with some sun breaks in February.

Review

Beautiful property. Reception is spotty outside the house so make sure key entry arrangements are clear before you get there. The stormy conditions altered the electronic door lock and we had a little trouble getting in but it all worked out in the end. Also, this property is listed on both Vrbo and on a more local website. Better to use the local website as the vrbo site added on a lot of fees that we couldn’t recover.

Totally Chill

Our family get together was w a y too short, we certainly should have booked a longer stay. This home provided all the comforts and amenities of a resort. We loved the relaxing atmosphere, the homes layout for a large family with pets and the huge selection of games and books. Very impressive and am planning another get together for next year.

Amazing Oasis

This home was exactly as described, and then some! This was the perfect place for our team to hide away and work our company’s next year. We received all kinds of weather, with the views from the windows, we were never disappointed. The only small hiccup was that we had absolutely no cell service. There is Wi-Fi, and it actually made it a much quieter week for us! We were able to easily order a cab into the city for dinner at our favorite restraint, Clearwater, on the bay front. All around this was the most enjoyable stay!

A wonderful home for a family getaway

The home is so beautiful, and so well cared for. It's obvious that a lot of thought has gone into making this property a home: the themed bedrooms, the well-appointed bookshelves, and the fully equipped kitchen were just a few of our favorites. We had a wonderful time with our family and hope to stay here again in the future.

Location, Location, Location!

Location, location, location, fabulous! The new hot tub on the deck was incredible! The wide open spaces were wonderful! Loved the spaciousness of the kitchen. We appreciated the heater that was provided for the downstairs bedroom. Beach access was quite convenient, just a five minute walk from the house. The kitchen needs a SERIOUS update (refrigerator w/ filtered water and an ice dispenser would be a great start as well as new countertops and a new paint job on the cabinets, fyi, the Insta Hot faucet was neither instant nor hot) as do the bathrooms, for the big ticket price that is being charged. It also peculiar that there are no grab bars in any of the three bathroom showers. It would be beneficial to add them to at least one of the showers. Another oddity was the lack of identification on the three vessels holding what I would assume were shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. I could never figure out which was which. Two of the three mornings we woke up to having the garbage can tipped over and we had to pick up all of the strewn debris, an unpleasant task for sure. This was likely due to racoons or other wildlife. A metal or wooden “corral” with doors would likely combat this issue. Speaking of garbage, the verbiage in the guide, regarding garbage being picked up on Monday is very vague. I wound up running out to the street to one of the different trucks that were picking up garbage/recycling and asking if we were supposed to have pulled the containers out to the street. He initially looked at me blankly but in the end said they didn’t pick up for the house we were staying in. It would be beneficial to have more specific instructions on what is required by your guests. I found it peculiar that we were told there was only parking available for 5 cars when, clearly, there was room for twice that many. An emergency contact phone number for the manager should be in a much more obvious place (such as on the refrigerator door). One last issue, the email with the check-in information was not accurate. The third paragraph states there are two attached files (1 w/ directions and another w/ the Rental Agreement) yet there is only one. I contacted the management company requesting that they resend w/ both files. They resent but there still was only one file. Come to find out they had been combined BUT there is no title/heading of Rental Agreement in that file. Confusing AND time consuming.

2nd Story Review

We were disappointed that the hot tub did not work at all. Water was cold. Jacuzzi jets did not work. It had a substantial leak and was losing 25% of the water per day. We could not use it. That said, it is a beautiful home in a great location, and perfect for our family.

Roomy House for Groups

Our stay was 8 - 9 days. We hosted folks from my spouse's family the first 4-5 days and from my extended family the rest of the time. Everyone enjoyed the home. We filled the refrigerator and used the plentiful dish and glassware for the food we prepared and brought in from the great restaurants in the vicinity. The beach was wonderful when the fog moved out, but we walked a lot even with the fog. It was a welcome break after 3 years of no travel.

Great stay for the whole family

My husband, two large teenage boys, dog and I were able to stay with my sister, her husband, two grown children, dog and my mom all in one house. It was so fun to eat together and hang out and play games and do a puzzle. The walk to the beach is really close and easy. It was nice that we could drive my 86 year old Mom down and she could sit while we walked the beach. We will stay again!

Peaceful Retreat

We stayed here to celebrate my parent’s 50th anniversary. All the kids and grandkids (14 total) snuggled in nicely. The house is in an amazing location with fabulous beach and ocean views. Private beach access was a short walk away and the beach was nearly empty for miles. This was a nice treat given it’s also so close to Newport. The kitchen and main living area were larger than we expected and cooking from the open kitchen was fantastic with the ocean view. Bedrooms were as described and bedding was clean and comfortable. Game room in the garage and movie theater in the basement kept the kids busy and entertained. Bathrooms were adequate, but a little dated and linoleum was lifting from shower spray escaping the curtains. There were a few cobwebs in corners of windows but it was minor. We had trouble getting the fireplace to draft well, but weather was great and we didn’t need the fire. There was also a minor drip from the center beam after a minor rain, not a major issue for us, but it should be fixed to keep the house in good condition. Sitting on the deck was perfect! We would stay here again, mostly because the view and location were so nice.
