The house was great! Perfect for our group. Beautiful location. Itâs not a brand new home, so it had minor damage here and there, but nothing that affected our stay. Definitely recommend.
RENTERS BWARE!! We recently departed this rental and it say it was a disappointment is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Amenities listed and shown on VRBO either broken, unusable or did not exist. 1.Hot Tub Completely Unusable / unsanitary / disgusting! When we went to use the hot tub, it was evident it had not been used in months due to the accumulation of dirt on the cover. But much to our surprise when we lifted the top, only to find half the water was filled, not circulating and TWO (2) DEAD // DECOMPOSING rats / vermin IN THE HOT TUB!! Guest were ready to throw up â Cannot believe NO ONE was aware of this!!! Problem is being reported to county El Dorado County Health Department officials.2.Keg refrigerator shown and listed as an amenity, however, it is âOUT OF ORDERâa.We had reserved a keg for the 1 week stay as I had an entire house full of beer drinkers, had to cancel and go a different direction. 3.Keurig style coffee maker shown in photos, however, it did not exist. We had to call and request 1 be brought out to the property. 4.Espresso / Capuchino coffee system listed and shown as an amenity; however it is OUT OF ORDER. A very big deal as that is important to our daily routine. 5.Bugs all throughout the house â both dead and alive 6.House being rented UNSECURE. We were locked out New Years Eve night due to the batteries dead in key pad. However, as we walked to the back of the property, much to our surprise the sliding glass door was unlocked! The followi
Our December travel day was clear but the following day a snowstorm blew in. Through the huge wall of windows we watched snow swirl among the tall pines as the gas fireplace warmed the spacious main room with its vaulted ceiling of knotty pine. The well equipped and beautiful kitchen, the spacious bathrooms, the windows on all sides made for a delightful stay. The fireplace in the downstairs game room kept us warm as we played billiards. Here again there were many windows to look out at the snowy pines. The spacious master bedroom and bath were amazing and a third gas fireplace cast flickering light as we slept. This is a wonderful place to get away for relaxation and fun.
We stayed here for 4 days/3 nights with a party of 6 adults. (Was supposed to be 8 originally but 2 got sick). The positives: Beds were all very comfortable, living area is large and the huge dining table was fantastic, interior furniture is well made and sturdy. The "man cave" is cool and was a lot of fun as well. However... the entire property needs a bit of TLC - the outside deck is a bit wonky and needs better reinforcements, the deck furniture is falling apart and there are only 4 chairs. You are only given 1 bath towel per person, regardless of how many nights you are stying there, and if there HAD been 8 adults there, we would have been cramped for seating in the living area. A lot of little things that, by themselves, aren't a big deal - but when we are getting texts from the property management asking for a 5-star review before the weekend is even over... and given that we paid almost $1000/night (when all was said and done with the extra fees!!), a 4-star rating is appropriate.
Our stay was great in this beautiful home. We had a minor problem; called the number provided and within 30 minutes they were at the home and fixed minor problem.
The place is good and the price we paid was discounted so I consider for what we paid (sub 300 per night before fees) it was fair for such a big space. The whole place could use a little extra attention and some deep cleaning. We were told the hot tub was working perfectly, it was not. It was broken and full of ice. Wifi worked well though and the place is big enough for a large extended family group. It has a nice views and is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Just needs some updating.
Upon our arrival, we were taken aback by the spaciousness and size of the home. This location has everything that you could possibly require. There is a fun little gated yard where you can play in the snow, two decks where you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and a downstairs area that evokes a sense of nostalgia. Overall, it was an amazing place to stay and extremely comfortable. Grand Welcome was always available to assist us with any questions or concerns we had, and they responded promptly. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone and give it a 5/5 rating.
Awesome home that was just perfect for a family of 8, 2 kids! We will try and get this place next year also! No issues, and the people in charge, are very available for any issues you have!
I arrived Friday night late the code worked and called it a night, went to bed and the sheets smelled like dust and really bugged my allergies, woke up tried to make breakfast stove and oven werenât working, refrigerator was barely working holding maybe 45 degrees, the deck was falling apart and was told it was safe but was definitely not, they got someone out and they fixed the stove and the oven but the fridge started to finally cool down it seemed like a nice place but definitely wasnât ready for people to stay. Wish I could get some money back but sat on hold for over an hour.
We wanted a home base for our family to stay and be able to enjoy South Lake Tahoe. Especially the American Century Championship Golf Tournament. The Lodge was an excellent location and provided the accommodations we needed for our vacation. Our Grandkids enjoyed the place. This is a Family Vacation Home!!!!
Had a great beginning of summer getaway for 3 generations of family. Lots of living space, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and a great game room. Loved the dining room table that was big enough for game night, family meals and puzzles.
