South Padre stay

We really enjoyed staying here at this home! It was spacious and cozy for our family. We would definitely stay here again! When I had a question and called the customer service the owner quickly returned my call to answer my questions. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a home to stay with a big family!

There were 2 things that were great. It was never hot in the house.. so the AC cooled the home very well & the pool was clean. Ppl showed up daily to clean the pool (which we appreciated… but a heads up would have been nice).

Amazing stay

We really enjoyed our stay and are so happy we found this house! It was spacious and had all the amenities! The pool was amazing and the bbq pit made grilling easy! The house was very clean and overall very comfortable! We would definitely recommend to friends and book again!

Great House on a beautiful island

The house is well appointed and beautiful. There is plenty of space to socialize inside or around the pool. The beds are old, worn out, springy beds, but we didn't have high expectations as it's a rental. The pool is smaller than we thought, but it was perfect for hanging in. The foosball table was fun, we enjoyed that. We would definitely go back.

This is a 4br / 3 bath home and due to issues, we went to a 3br / 2 bath for 12 people! There was a plumbing issue that was not resolved and we were asked not to use the shower. Then there was an issue with the smoke detector on one of the bedrooms. It malfunctioned and would not shut off. Maintenance never fixed it. The bedroom was not able to be used bc of that. Also, the dishwasher did not work and the AC on the first floor (indoors) was leaking lots of water ... and their fix was to place a tub to capture it all ... we were responsible for emptying it otherwise it would overflow. Maintenance personnel seems to be stretched thin and there's only so much they can do with what they're working with. This home is in need of major work. There's probably mold behind the walls. Outdoors (by the pool) has lots of overgrown bushes/weeds. It looks nothing like the pictures on their website. I would not recommend this place.

Great home to stay in

We enjoyed the home. It was very clean and as described. A previous review stated pool was heated, which is incorrect. The pool is not heated. We had some issues getting TV to work. The manager was prompt about fixing the issue right away. We booked 9 nights here. Our first day was great, nice sunny day. Then it all changed and did nothing but rain continuously the rest of our trip. Winds were between 20 to 50 mph. Our vacation sucked, but was only due to the weather. We could do nothing outdoors, there was not much for entertainment around. Food we had delivered a few times was sub par and ended up in the garbage. We lost power for 16 hours so we had no electric, no heat. We were bored out of our minds. Had to charge phones in our vehicle, which takes 2 hours to get 5%. A bit frustrating. Vacasa property manager did all he could to get things up and running, but we were both at the mercy of the utility company to get things fixed. The house could use more glasses, silverware, etc. Very minimal. Worked for us since there were only two of us. You can tell the silverware has hit the garbage disposal as a couple of them were chewed up on the edges. Frying pans need an upgrade. Everything sticks. Bring your own cooking spray. Would be nice to have a few basic amenities like aluminum foil, cooking spray, salt/pepper etc. Vacasa did reimburse us for the food we lost during power failure. I thought the house and vacasa were both great. It was the bad weather that ruined our trip.

Good location, nice views, but needs some love.

Home is beautiful and it was a nice stay for our large family. There were a few things that needed attention, but we ignored them since I didn’t want to take time away from our vacation to try to maintain someone else’s home. Things like light bulbs out, bathroom sink not draining, umbrella by pool broken. There was a lot of trash in the garden and weeds that had been knocked back by a weed eater, but needed to be pulled out. We also needed more/different blankets since the ones provided were more like sheets, and the kids were cold in the rooms. On the positive side, the a/c worked well, there were toys to play in the sand with, and you can see the sunset from the balcony. Overall was a nice stay.

Super clean, with space for all! Grandparents happy to have 1st floor room to avoid stairs. Kitchen was well equipped and large tv room was a great bonus for kids to play (away from adults!). Overall an excellent find and highly recommend.

A great vacation spot

We loved our first trip to South Padre Island and this house was perfect for our family. The house was very clean and the pool was used a lot! I would recommend bringing some kitchen supplies. No pot holders, cookie sheets, and limited cookware. First world problems that we easily remedied! The location is closer to the bay side, but takes no time to get anywhere you want to go! Thank you for a great experience!

Still some kinks to work out

Although the property was clean, some outlets didn't work and the large light fixtures above the dining table did not work either. Also some light switches did not turn on. The downstairs restroom had a missing glass panel in the shower and the toilet handle in that restroom was also loose. We had to call the property manager because the dishwasher detergent compartment was broken. When he came, he said that it couldn't be fixed until the next day which was our checkout day. He said he would refund me for the inconvenience, but I have yet to see any kind of refund reflected on my bank account. Other than that it was spacious an in a good location. I would stay again if these issues were addressed.
