« Due to a wedding in the property, which we were not warned about (apparently Hotel can't contact Expedia customers), we got very little sleep. Some of the wedding guests decided to have their own party/social event between 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM meaning we got virtually no sleep. Rang reception to inform them of the noise at 3.45am. « This is a hotel in a perfect location. It is so beautiful to look into the bay and so wonderful to be able to go on the most incredible coastal walks from the doorstep. Great to take the boat to Salcombe and explore from there. The room was lovely, but we were on the ground floor and looked out onto the bay, but also the decked area; so it wasn't very private. « This property is need of a lot of repair. Leaks through the ceiling, peeling paint, the water tank is a real issue - you may run out of drinking water! Marks and holes in walls through the property. It is not a virtual check in you have to go collect the keys. We lost two hours trying to get hold of virtual check in. Microwave sounds like it’s going to explode and dishwasher doesn’t work. Really terrible stay. The only plus is there’s a lovely view »

« The property itself okay, but unclean. The bedding was clean, but the carpeted areas and soft furnishings were not. Crumbs on the sofa and visibly dirty dusty carpet, the mattress was deeply stained brown and filled with crumbs and food waste under it. Has some cute features throughout , however, the biggest issue with this property is the incredibly vile smell of drainage or sewage that permeates in the living room. You cannot be in that room without the windows open and spraying air...

« Air conditioning in the room did not work Bit poor as we were in a mini heatwave. Could not use our room from 3pm as it was only just starting to be deep cleaned after having a dog in the room. On the evening we had to wait for two hours for food. Not told that when we ordered. The place was just short staffed and it showed. My partner was told by the manager that our meals would be compensated due to really poor service and presentation. That hasn't happened. The next morning was better....
