Wedding weekend.
We needed to get together with family for our Grandson's wedding in Sparta. This house was perfect. We were 4 older adults and 2 young (18-21) grandchildren. The house was along the Calfkiller river. It was immaculate and well laid out. We were extremely happy with the whole experience. We had a fresh loaf of bread and a dozen fresh eggs waiting for us. The owners were onsite and very helpful in shopping and dinning suggestions. A truly lovely weekend!

Delightful Visit
We loved our weekend at the Riverhouse. The view was amazing. We had sweet pets as visitors almost everyday. The owners are so accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed having breakfast on the deck and grilling steaks! Hope to be back!

River retreat
Very cozy and unique home. Beautiful views. Quiet area. Owners make you feel at home and spoil you with fresh baked bread on counter and farm fresh eggs in fridge. Perfect set up with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Great location near cookville and sparta. I wish i could bring pets but did get to love on a cute gray cat and pretty little australian shepherd that graced us with their presence one afternoon. Also a big black chicken was running in the yard one evening😂

Wonderful Rural Getaway!
This was a great stay. Roomy, comfortable and a back deck that provides a "magazine article" setting. The perfect place for morning coffee. Worth every penny!

We came to Sparta for a wedding so didn’t get to spend as much time as I’d liked at the house. The house was cozy and enough room for 6. My grave in loved fishing in the river. It seemed as if we were home with the dog & cat visiting. Would love to stay another weekend when not so busy.

Dream stay for paddlers
We absolutely loved the place. It was very comfortable and the river was just so pleasant to paddle. It was within driving distance of so many state parks with amazing waterfalls, and the local pizzeria and coffee shop were excellent suggestions. Thanks for an hosting us on this wonderful little vacation, we really enjoyed it!

House was in a quiet neighborhood but still convenient to Sparta and Spencer. Had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed the kayaks and saw some otters on his trip. Highly recommend.

Perfect river side get-away
Loved everything about this property! Beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was provided including grill, fire pit, keurig, fans. We didn't use the upstairs area, however, it was so cute for adult kids and grandkids! Close to fall creek falls and Rock Island...WE hope to come back again.

Perfect Getaway
"Serenity" describes our stay at the River House. It was a perfect retreat for my wife and I as we prepare to start a new school year. The home is clean, comfortable and inviting. The setting is tranquil and beautiful. Sitting on the back porch in the morning and evening, listening to the sounds of nature, watching the river flow by, gazing up as the stars begin to appear in the night sky, all are a part of slowing down and enjoying time together. The house was easy to find using GPS. Once there, we met one of the cohosts, who was both kind and helpful. Fresh eggs from the chickens, and a couple locally baked croissants awaited us. We quickly and comfortably settled in to enjoy the weekend. We are grateful for the opportunity to have enjoyed this home, and look forward to returning.

The location was about 30min from some great hikes: Window Cliffs, Fall Creek Falls, Savage Gulf, and Virgin Falls. My boys enjoyed fishing once we got home from our hikes.

Wonderful Place
The Riverhouse was a great place for our weekend getaway as we visited Falls Creek Falls. It was extremely well furnished and clean inside and out. The peaceful setting is truly a little peice of heaven on earth. I highly recommend this rental.

Perfectly located by the falls
My husband, our three boys, and myself stayed Memorial Weekend and it was perfect. We went to Fall Creek Falls and Burgess Falls and the house was perfectly located. Everything is just short drive away. The house is very clean, the owners were very nice (their chickens lay delicious blue eggs), and the cute little river was perfect for fishing in the evenings.

Quaint country respite on the river
Enjoyed a wonderful stay at the River house.I specifically looked for a non touristy area and found this gem of a home in close proximity to beautiful state parks with hiking and waterfalls. It was just what I hoped for . The host is explicit in communication right down to special details about the area and a few extras that made our stay most enjoyable.

Perfect place to get away and relax. Very clean, spacious rooms with pleasant decor, bright and airy family room, well-stocked kitchen with plenty of counter space. Rocking chairs on the front porch! Rocking chairs on the back porch! Lazy river down below!

Waterfall Vacation
A very comfortable and beautiful property. We especially enjoyed the view of the river and the bluff outback from the back deck. It was very convenient to go to rock island state park, burgess falls state park , and fall creek falls as well as reasonable drive up to Cookville For dinner and workouts.. I would highly recommend a stay at this property for anyone who wants a quiet country setting in the middle of all the waterfall area.

The property was beautiful. Good fishing in the river and owners responded promptly and were sweet. My teenage kids loved playing with the cats and the dog. They left cupcakes and fresh eggs. The house was very clean and had lots of fun nooks and crannies to explore. We would definitely stay again.
