Took 5+ phone calls & two emails to get check in details, which then were conflicting. Room did not look like pictures & is directly above nightclub that attracts the sloppy drunken karaoke crowd. Music blasting from morning till after midnight, w music turned up from 8pm onwards. Room vibrates with bass. No way to cover noise as fan/AC unit doesn't work. Window wide open when I arrived. Closed it because it was cold. Within five minutes, room filled with an overwhelming smell of mould & cigarettes. Cigarette smell in this non-smoking room appeared to mostly come from the vents in the toilet, although there are piles of cigarette butts on the awning just below the window as well. Nothing worked. Half the lights don't work. Kettle, TV, both hair dryers didn't work. Safe didn't work. Mismatched hangers broken. Heated towel bar in shower room didn't work. Found a vape pen on top of the fridge. Sheets had holes. Pool & hot tub were heavily advertised as amenities & pictured, but pool was stone cold & filthy. Hot tub stone cold & never heated properly. After I complained about noise on night 2, they told me that it would be over by 11pm, which is insane, and also didn't happen. Expectation by the hotel is that no one should expect to enjoy the room until the middle of the night. List THAT as an amenity. "Room used as nightclub noise overflow space until we feel like it." When I complained, they demanded I provide ID & personal info. I did not feel safe as a woman traveling alone.
