« Well equipped nice property. Great view! Screened patio to enjoy morning coffee. Don’t miss Grandfather Mountain winery. Nice to have air conditioning and washer dryer on property. One standup shower was plenty for the family. Located close to Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock. »

« Our kids enjoyed staying here. Overall the cabin is well maintained, clean, and amply stocked with basics like soap and towels. Very pretty view from the deck. »

« Our family of five, all adults, and furry members enjoyed the location, quietness, hot tub and visiting the Black Mountain Sourwood Festival. The location of the property is great. The drive up rocky driveway with some ruts was like an added theme ride, but do-able. The cabin itself is very roomy and for our short stay was very nice. »

« The creek is amazing. Deep enough to wade into. Location is convenient to Banner Elk (you have to try the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster!!) and Boone (have to try Coyote Kitchen and Stick Boy!) While you're at it head up Beech Mountain in the summer and ride the chair lift to the top (there's a bar up there) and watch the mountain bikers ride down the mountain. House was convenient to all of this! Can't wait to return. Oh yeah, the homemade sour dough bread and jam are a welcome surprise. »

« Very convenient to all of our wants for our stay in Black Mountain. Brenda is a great hostess, so helpful when we needed assistance for my husband. She went beyond what was required, and we appreciate it so much. The cottage is so cute - as my daughter said - Adorable! Wi-Fi worked perfectly. television is good as well. May thanks to Brenda and her friend ! »

« We left upstate SC that was over 100 degrees and have had no rain in weeks! What a sweet escape to 75 degrees and light rain with intermittent sunshine! House was lovely and had great outdoor spaces. »

« My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at the Fox Den to celebrate our anniversary. The location is conveniently 20 minutes from the nearest town, but just far enough away that it feels very remote. As of July 2025, many of the main parks in the area are still recovering from Hurricane Helene damage, but that didn't stop us from finding open places to explore, as the Fox Den is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. « This house is small but spacious. Perfect for four people to stay in. It was clean and we loved the decor and feel of the place. Super cute! The porch was huge with a table you could eat at. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. The second bedroom was detached from the main house but it worked fine for us. The amenities in the community were great. We were there for the 4th of July and there were so many activities planned for kids and adults. The pool and lake are not within walking...

« The home and surrounding property were perfect for our stay in the mountains of North Carolina. The owners prepared a bouquet of fresh flowers and cookies for us upon our arrival, which was a very nice surprise hurricane Helene took out the stairs leading down to the creek, which made it a little more difficult than we anticipated to get down to the creek, but we found many other things to do, and there are many places in the area where you can access the water. I would highly recommend this...

« Everything about our stay was perfect. Our host Shirley was amazing and made us immediately feel at home. The cottage is beautiful and sits on lovely grounds surrounded by an amazing garden. The location is walking distance to a quaint town and provides easy on -off access to the highway making it convenient to access all attractions and downtown Asheville. »
