We had a wonderful stay. The house was a nice little cottage that is well kept. They offer plenty of amenities from grilling, to biking to kayaking. We would definitely rent again.

Wonderful Family Vacation

spring break stay

This is a very nice cottage but did not feel it was as good a stay as we had hoped. It was well supplied in some items but lacking in others. No Kleenex, one roll of toilet paper, no large trash bags. One of the twin beds did not have box springs. It sank down terribly in the middle and was very uncomfortable. The couch in the living room was soft and offered no support. Very uncomfortable. Liked the location.

Just what my family needed!

We were very impressed with the cottage. It was family friendly, even offering a bin of toys. I loved how conveniently located it was to all that we wanted to do. The screened in porch was a perfect way to start and finish our days. Would definitely recommend! The host was quick to respond when needed, very helpful and friendly. **The cottage was very clean**

Nice place in a great location

The house was a nice place which suited my wife and I very well. It was a short walk to the Allegator Farm and lighthouse in one direction and an easy walk into the historic district in the other. There were several restaurants within a few minutes walk of the house. We wound up doing very little driving. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider staying there again on a return visit to Saint Augustine.

Cozy cottage

This cottage is very convenient to a lot of restaurants and an easy drive to historic areas and beaches. We actually spent a good amount of time at the cottage reading and relaxing. There is construction going on next door that created a lot of noise and traffic. Obviously this is temporary. Otherwise the cabin is nicely appointed and we took about two thirds of our meals at the cottage. We would come back if we plan another trip to St Augustine.

Boaters hideout.

This cabin is cute and just as described. Although we did not cook it appeared well stocked with everything needed. The king size bed was comfortable and the towels were nice. The outdoor spaces added to the charm. It is easy walking distance to the conch house marina for boaters needing accommodations.

Cute place with easy access to so much of the area

The house is charming! Reasonably updated and good condition. Loved the bikes and used them to get around most of the time. I was surprised how quick and easy it was to get to the fort by bike (took half the time as by car). If you are going for the beach, this house isn’t the closest but lots of great shops and food are within a 5 minute walk. Coffee maker can be a little tricky, if the pot is not in just right, the coffee will not drain from the filter to the pot. Also there were plenty of coffee filters but make sure you bring your own coffee! OH YEAH, the gate in the back yard goes to the back of chop house and when they are smoking meat, the amazing smell fills the yard and can really make you crave some BBQ.

Should have stayed longer!

Cute, clean, comfortable cottage with a fully fenced backyard for our terrier, a comfortable king bed, and all the amenities of home with much better weather. Close to restaurants, groceries, the Bridge of Lions, the Lighthouse, Beach, etc! Lots of things to walk or ride bikes to. The cottage is very centrally located for everything! In the interest of full disclosure, the cottage is very close to A1A, so there is some road noise in the back yard, but it’s very quiet in the evening and didn’t bother us at all! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Cozy cottage in a great location

Great location to spend a month in St Augustine. We really enjoyed riding the bikes that were provided into historic downtown as well as to many wonderful restaurants. We couldn’t be more pleased with all the dog friendly beaches close by. The house had plenty of amenities and was very comfortable for the two of us and our dog.

Authentic Experience

This cottage was great for us. There was plenty of room, and there were plenty of amenities. For those who want a unique stay, this place is perfect. The condos being built all around the city detract from the overall experience that is St. Augustine. I'm glad the owners saved this little gem.

Cute cottage in great location

This property was adorable and had a wonderful fenced in backyard which our doggies enjoyed. It was a similar distance between the main downtown area and the beaches. The inside of the cottage was nicely updated and we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Cottage

No word better describes this property than "cottage". It was immaculately clean when we checked in with fresh flowers on the dining room table. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you will need. The coffee station was so cute and had coffee, coffee filters, and a large assortment of teas. The decor is very homey and comfortable without being fussy. The master bedroom bed is amazing. And, with two teenagers, the washer and dryer were beyond helpful! We used the fire pit every night and made use of the grill. The cottage is so close to everything. We drove to old-town, but a younger person could easily walk. My kids rode the bikes provided to putt-putt one night and to a "shaved-ice" stand another night and to the Alligator Farm. They actually put down their phones and played board games on the screened-in porch at night. They also walked to a pizza place about 2 blocks away. We went to the Conch House Restaurant (just around the corner) which was so good! The kids went to the beach using the chairs and umbrella from the garage. I'm telling you, this cottage is stocked! We had a great time in this very comfortable cottage and we highly recommend it! We certainly plan on returning. The Gremillion Family

Sounded good but the reality was different

We booked and fully paid for this cottage in St Augustine in April 2021 for the month of February 2022. The description was that it was on a quiet dead end street with views of the water at the end of the street and views from the house of the masks of sailboats. Instead this house was surrounded by construction. Noise of heavy trucks no pounding hammers and air guns started every day at 7 and went 7ntil dark, 6 days week. Instead of the promised smells of the bay and salt flats we got diesel fumes and dust and a nearby portapotty. This review is likely irrelevant as these owners have wisely taken advantage of the crazy real estate market here and have cashed out. We feel like these owners had to be aware of the changed environment around this house as early as last fall and that we should have been notified and offered a chance to cancel and look for something else, or that they should have offered a substantial discount t to what was an expensive rental to begin with compared to others in the area. We were very disappointed with our stay and with these owners who did not let us know this was happening.

Great Cottage & location

This is a super cute cottage! You can tell they put alot of love in to this place. When you walk in, you do feel comfortable and relaxed. The back yard is great and our dog loved it. I loved the privacy and we did spend alot of time out there. My family very much enjoyed staying here. It is walking distance to all the attractions, including downtown. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Beautiful cottage, awesome owners!

From the moment you walk into this little cottage you can see the results of the hard work and attention the owners have given this quaint reconditioned 1940s cottage. They have focused on making this a nice home away from home while preserving what they could of its 1940s charm. The cottage is in St. Augustine close to the lighthouse and the alligator farm. I highly recommend spending your first minutes in the cottage sitting down and reading through the guest guide book the owners have created for your review. It covers how they renovated and rejuvenated the cottage, all of its details and amenities, and even the information on the plants they have planted in the yard for the avid plantsman or those with just a casual interest to read. They detail the local sights and restaurants (and their recommendation of The Conch House was excellent!), as well as many other local tourist options. The cottage has all of the things that you might need for your vacation home including a stocked kitchen and bathroom, as well as a very comfortable king bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom is set up for children with a toy chest if needed, but can be used for adults as well. We took our dogs with us and they loved having a fenced backyard to play in instead of having to go everywhere on a leash like is often required when renting locations near the beach. Even though this is in town, it is very sturdy and we did not notice the outside noises once inside with the door closed. There is a screened in area you can sit in at night to enjoy the outdoors without “enjoying” the bugs, as well. They have stocked the place with bicycles and kayaks, as well as other extras that might come in handy or be fun to use. I will definitely be recommending this place to others when visiting St. Augustine! The owners are very nice and easy to talk/work with, and were very accommodating wherever possible. Thank you!
