  • This stylish Lake Huron beach cottage currently sleeps 8 and overlooks Mackinac Island. Offering a new deck facing water, 125 feet of soft sandy beach frontage. There is a beach fire pit for those chilly evenings, large private yard, gas grill on back patio, outdoor seating, picnic table on beach and a table/chairs on the top deck. Inside there are 2 bedrooms, with 3 separated sleeping spaces, so you can have two families join and everyone has their own space. In these rooms you will find 3 queen size beds, & a full size bed, several large windows, ceiling fans, modern amenities including Central AC/Heat, new washer/dryer & Dishwasher

    Year around ranch style family home directly on Lake Huron overlooking Mackinac Island. The master bedroom with full bathroom requires 4 steps, the rest of the home requires no steps

    Although I will provide all guests with privacy, I am available by phone or text for any questions or assistance.

    This waterfront home is located 2.3 miles to the ferries and 2 miles to Kewadin Casino. Both venues provide transportation to and from the cottage.

Loved the lake view and the kayaks that were made available. We spent our evening at the fire pit, again enjoying the view. Water on the lake is crystal clear!! A well stocked kitchen! Only suggestion is to make an empty cabinet available for patrons home kitchen dry food items, we left most of our items in a box. The lodging was very homey and comfortable, pet friendly & very close to the Macanak ferry boat landing. Very clean and comfortable beds. We truly enjoyed our time there <3

Excellent Stay

Property was beautiful and quaint. View of the lake was breathtaking. Very clean and comfortable. Will recommend this place for a mini vacation. Very near the docks to go to Mackinaw Island. Dog friendly.

Fantastic stay!

The Huron Hutch was a wonderful place to stay! Gorgeous views of the lake, comfortable inside and out with many thoughtful touches. The hosts were very responsive and kind. I did not want to leave and will definitely try to make a return trip.

Beautiful views

The home had plenty of space for our family of five to all have our own quiet space! The views are wonderful! I loved that they had family card and board games to play as well.

Very nice, private. I’m always a little scared when I go on vacation. Don’t consider myself too awful picky but most rentals leave something to be desired cleanliness wise. This place was clean. All of it. Nothing was too far away by car and the views from the property were fabulous. They supplied two kayaks which were used daily. The water was walkable way out there, you could go 100 yards out without getting your waist wet - really wish I would have brought my little dog. Sleeping 8 requires a fold out couch but if you’re not into that there is a HUGE sectional that my son and DIL did not want to trade for my queen after they tried it so there’s that. Host was VERY accessible (had a TV problem, no big deal, but he was answering my text with a phone call in seconds). Nice size kitchen if your whole family likes to cook. Our party was almost 1 year old up to 69 and everyone was happy.

Special Spot!

Our stay at the Huron Hut was fabulous! The house was beautifully decorated and very clean and organized. We cooked dinner each evening and the kitchen had everything we needed. The best part of our trip was being right on Lake Huron! The beach was lovely and watching the crane each day was a highlight. Thank you for a very memorable stay!

What I liked: The home has an excellent location right on Lake Huron. The water is shallow and calm, and kayaking before sunset is incredible. What I did not like: The pet policy rules were not clearly disclosed on the listing. The final billing from the host showed unexpected discrepancies compared to the initial booking summary, with no explanation provided. Despite the cleaning requirements included in the rental agreement, we were still expected to wash dishes, take out trash, and start the laundry. There are restrictive penalties for adjusting the thermostat or using trash space. The entire property feels like a heavily regulated facility instead of a vacation home.

A peaceful, beautiful, relaxing vacation.

The beach cottage was a beautiful place to stay. Such amazing views. Plenty of room for everyone. It had almost everything you need, with grocery store nearby. The hosts responded quickly when we had a question. Very courteous. Hope to be back again..

Great Location!

Beach Hutch was a great location to get to Mackinac Island and explore the UP. Cute beach but bring your water shoes as it's a bit rocky in the water. Great patio & fire pit. The house had lots of room for 7 of us and was clean. We enjoyed the view each morning drinking our coffee and watching the Sandhill Cranes walk up the beach!

It was a delight to watch the sandhill cranes each day move about the beach. The kayaks were an added bonus and we were able to get on the water every day of our stay. The Beach Hutch had comfortable beds for sleeping, cozy living spaces for relaxing along with a furnished kitchen for making meals. The house was only a short distance from downtown St. Ignace and the ferry to Mackinac Island. The Huron Beach Hutch checked all the boxes for a relaxing, enjoyable vacation getaway for our family!

Everything about this property was perfect!

Our family had an incredible stay at the Huron Hutch! It was the perfect place for all six of us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It’s very well kept, fully stocked, and hosts were willing to answer any questions we had. While we wished for warmer weather to fully enjoy the amazing outdoor spaces, we still took advantage of everything the property has to offer. The party store just down the street was a great convenience, and we loved the grill, beachside fire pit, and spacious outdoor area for our dog. The interior had plenty of room, and the large dining table quickly became our gathering spot for meals, games, puzzles, and making unforgettable memories. The back bedroom had 2 beds and was perfect for us with small children! This place is a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to return during the warmer months!
