The property was truly exceptional, and our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. I've never felt so relaxed during a vacation, able to leave behind the typical daily life problems. The highlight of the property is undoubtedly the pool, which is incredibly private due to the property's clever design and layout. It gives you the feeling of being on your very own secluded island, and that was precisely why I chose this house in the first place. I must say, it didn't disappoint.
The house's interior decor and overall cool factor are off the charts. However, what prevented our experience from being excellent were three issues: the control of the air conditioning, the quality of the beds, and the internet.
Like many hotels, the property has thermostats that restrict your control. While it does allow you to lower the temperature to a comfortable 68 degrees, the thermostats are located under vents, causing certain areas of the house to cool down much faster and other parts, like the bedrooms, to stay warmer then 68. As a northerner who prefers a colder sleep environment, I found the bedrooms to be warmer, and the memory foam toppers on the beds exacerbated this issue, trapping body heat and making it uncomfortable. Even my wife experienced discomfort due to the warmth. Considering the price, I expected more control over the temperature and fewer instances of the thermostat resetting to 78 degrees.
