« Chambre familiale idéale, propreté correcte et bonne qualité de literie. Hotel très tranquille, à l'écart de Durham mais à 5mn en voiture du centre ville. Petit déjeuner classique ou assiette copieuse (sur simple demande "végétarienne") apprécié dans le prix. Restaurant attenant pratique. Serviabilité et sourire....great !!! Je recommande cette adresse++++++ »

« This was a very nice comfortable place. We had a little trouble finding it. Was easy to check in and out of. The only suggestion I would make was to put the exterior patio lights on a timer so that they turn off at night— if it’s hot and you have the window open then you have all the light from the patio. But it was very clean and comfortable. »

« Perfect getaway with a little sauna for a relax, sea is at the end of the road, tidy and plenty of space. Love the little touches around the place, everything was thought off, we will definitely be back! »

« The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. »

« Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas! »

« I really enjoyed my 2 week stay at coalminers cottage. I felt the cottage was extremely clean and cosy, which was important for me as i grieve my Mam. I looked forward to returning from a busy day, to such a warm, comfortable space. Communication with Dylan was spot on. I will be back!!! »

« This is a versatile accommodation for business, pleasure, families. Set in a fantastic location at the bottom of penshaw monument. There are some many places within a short drive. If you don’t want to drive there is lots to do in the immediate surrounding area. A short walk and you are down by the river, where there is a great coffee shop or friendly pub. If you enjoy walking or have a dog this is an ideal place to stay. The privacy is also another massive bonus. I would certainly...

« It was a wonderful holiday. The cottage was very cozy, and the hostess even left freshly baked treats for us. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. There was also a baby crib, stair gate, and high chair. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dog.The surrounding area is also beautiful.Highly recommended if you're looking for a nice, quiet cottage that's still close to a town. »
