The room has a loft. The steps to the loft felt very dangerous and some in our party would not go up to the loft because of this. The 3 bed bunkbed was difficult to climb into. Plus the bottom bed faced an electrical outlet with something plugged in. This was not safe for children. The dishwasher left many dishes dirty, so we could not trust that the dishes in the cabinet were clean. We have been coming to Steamboat for a dozen years and this was the worst place we ever stayed.

Perfect for Father Son trip

Excellent location and perfect set up for my 18 year old son and I to have a fun guys trip. The loft gave him privacy and the main level worked great for me. Comfortable Murphy bed and galley kitchen worked great. Would certainly book this unit again under the same circumstances.

I had a great experience in this unit. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The location was great, only being a few minutes away walking to the base. Management was very responsive about answering questions.

Base of the mountain

I was in Steamboat for a race that started at the base of the mountain. The location couldn’t have been any better and the room was exactly what we needed. The home was clean and very welcoming and easy to find. I didn’t get a chance to visit the pool but it looked clean as well. Will definitely stay here for future visits.

Great place!

We stayed at this condo for the Run Rabbit Run trail race. Such a perfect location, easy in and out, walking distance to the gondola and finish line, easy parking, and easy access to downtown and to fishing in the area. Condo was clean and well stocked. The king murphy bed was easy to set up and comfortable. TV is a little confusing to use, but we were too busy/too tired with stuff to really use it. One issue we had was the lighting for the murphy bed wasn't hooked up (there was a part missing), but that didn't detract at all. We'd stay here again.

Condo in the Mountains

My son and I recently stayed at The West Condos for a long weekend Soccer Tournament in Steamboat. We truly enjoyed the condo and its amazing central location to all the activities at the base of the mountain and proximity to our playing fields around town. We took advantage of being able to walk to town for dining, riding the gondola and enjoying the live music and games. The condo itself was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out and relax after a long day of playing and trying to fit in all the fun things to do. I also really appreciated the personal touch of being checked in on by the condo owners - always making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. This was our second visit to Steamboat Springs and we look forward to another visit soon staying at The West !!!

Short stay for anniversary

In general it was a good stay however, the pictures of the apartment are deceiving. The photos show a patio with natural grasses, boulders and privacy. We were on the 2nd floor with no balcony. construction was a few hundred feet from our windows as a new complex is in progress. Machines started engines at 730am. We get away from Denver for peace and quiet and fresh air. This was not the case this time around.

The views from the windows were the construction site and parking lot so most of the time we had to close the blinds. There is a standing air cooler which the tube has to connect on window. It kept falling out and wasn’t cooling the condo well. At night we had to turn it off due to the noise which is very inconvenient and even though we opened windows it didn’t cool it off well. The murphy bad was inconvenient. We had to leave it out the entire time of our stay and so we weren’t able to use the couch and the extra room as a living room. There was no closed closet only metal shelf. So it looked quite messy with all our clothes hanging openly and their bedding stuff. There were loft with bunk beds we didn’t even use. For the family with some kids who don’t care about surroundings and just look for a cheap stay this will be a fit.

Nice condo in a great location

This is a great property - amazingly close location to the base and two shared outdoor hot tubs. Parking is easy and was readily available during our stay. This unit is cozy and has some updates. One item I would note is that the sleeping area (loft) is accessed up a very steep set of stairs, which isn’t totally apparent from the pictures. There are handles on the wall and ceiling to help you get up and down, which was good. We were with our young daughter and my mom, and they had difficulty using the stairs (the reason for the 4 star instead of 5 star rating). It was really nice to have the Murphy bed in the main living area to accommodate those who can’t use the stairs. The fridge is a little loud and the dishwasher is very loud (don’t run while you try to sleep) but everything works well. The management company was responsive before and during the trip, and helped us with some recommendations. We really enjoyed this condo for a quick weekend get away.

Great Location - Family Ski

Overall great stay! We drove from TX, nice having a parking spot and the free lot next door for friends visiting for dinner. Great Location, we drove kids and skis (ages 7, 10 ) 3 mins to ski drop off and then one parent would walk back over in ski boots. Easy walk but the free ski storage advertized did not exist and at end of day just easier to do. Unit very efficient set up, nice living area and great fireplace that dried all kid soaking gloves overnight - kids loved playing in snow piles next to condo. Everyone sleeps in one big bunkbed, mattress a bit hard for adults, would be nice to have better mattresses but clean and seemed pretty new. We had guests for dinner and even though small space very well thought out.Lots of places to hang jackets, gear, hooks and for a family of 4 it was perfect. Never tried the pool/hot tub but did have fun at Town Hot Springs one day. Some of the cookware is a little old but management quickly replaced things they could. Wished there was a washer/dryer in unit, never tried coin on-site since involved getting quarters, but we made due. This would be 5 star if better beds and laundry! Great Thai take-out around the corner. We cooked in most nights, kids had a blast, a few games and generally a wonderful family experience.

Best Condos in Steamboat

My overall experience here was great! The condo was clean, spacious, and I found myself often wishing that I lived here. The location is a five minute walk to the base of the ski slopes, and an equal amount of time driving to get to grocery stores and restaurants. I’ve always booked hotels in Steamboat in the past, but I’ll never do that again after staying here.
