Room was on second floor with dangerous stairs and unsafe railing. My wife and I are both elderly and handicapped and climbing up and down the stairs, with a dog, was horrible. The room had no furniture, no place to sit except for a pair of steel stools, the television screen was the size of my laptop, and impossible to watch. I fell out of the bed at night because when I put my foot on the floor the floor was slippery and my foot kept going. The room was next to the highway and very noisy with trucks going by all night.
I've motored the country extensively and in the past decade have stayed in over 50 motels, in at least 20 states. This place was not only the most uncomfortable, and most dangerous, it was the most expensive.
I had booked a second night to avoid a seven hour drive home in the dark after a family party but we decided that the misery of driving home while exhausted was much better than another night at the Mountain View.
