« If a person does truly needs to be along and off the grid this is your place. A bed and 4 walls. Does have a fridge and microwave a coffee maker but I’d bring one and we did. The bed was good. The shower room was clean enough and toilet but not what we signed up for. Hot tub was cold not hot, did not use . Had reservations for 2 nights and stayed for one. « This was the perfect place for us to stay on our vacation. We drive from Kansas City to Galveston yearly and need a halfway stop with our two dogs. There was a great yard space for them fenced in. « Nice property but maintenance is badly needed all over the property. Hot tub jets did not always work and outdoor fireplace would not light. One of the showers had tiles falling off the shower walls and wet sinking flooring in front of it. Bed in one bedroom was so squeaky we could not sleep on it a second night. Cabin was poorly appointed - not enough cups / glasses / towels / no soap or shampoo for showers, etc. Overall, not a bad place but could be much better. »
