This was one of the best places I have ever stayed at, the level of detail to this property was to a T. The Host responded quickly to my meesages. The hot tub under the stars was amazing. Stores 13 minutes away, great wineries close by. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. I have stayed at some very popular high end hotels, but this Yurt has blown these out of the water. I highlt recommd this place to stay and relax at.

Everything was exactly as it looked in the pictures! It was clean, well organized, and even had a garment steamer that came in clutch. The onsite game room was a great touch as well, would highly recommend!

Perfect, little getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at this yurt! It was incredibly clean and beautifully designed—every little detail was so thoughtful and sweet. One of our favorite touches was the ceiling lights at night, giving the illusion of stargazing right from inside. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing, and the game room added so much fun to our stay. We’d definitely give this place a 10 out of 10 and can’t wait to come back in the future!

Our Weekend Yurt Getaway: A 10/10 Experience

Our recent winter weekend in a cozy yurt was amazing. The staff went above and beyond—checking in often and staying available even at odd hours. It was surprisingly warm inside, making the snowy outside feel extra magical. Plus, being able to order DoorDash right to the yurt was a huge perk!Though the bed was only a full-size, the overall vibe more than made up for it. If you’re craving a unique getaway with a perfect blend of comfort and convenience, this yurt is a must-try!

It was the best little get away.

We loved it so much. Definitely will be going back. It was super peaceful and best little get away with you're love one. Also it was super clean and had directions for everything which was super nice. Probably the best stay we have had in Hocking Hills.

Rejuvenation

My wife and I had an amazing stay here. The yurt was cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was awesome. Decor was wonderful and pleasantly pleasing to the eye. We had a fire in the solo fire pit. Just enjoyed time away from everyone and everything. Hocking Hills is just a few minutes away. The only thing I regret about staying here was not having more time to stay longer. The host are great and respond very quickly. Wife and I had an amazing time and can't wait for another trip. Oh and the game room is nice, pool table darts, table hocky and Foosball. Again I cant say enough nice things about this stay. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property.

We loved our time in the cardinal yurt! It was very clean, beautiful and all the little details were perfect. I really loved the rock guestbook & the postcard. The guest game area was also so fun, especially being out of town, it gave us something to do together. Truly such a wonderful place & we will definitely be back!

Amazing yurt

The Cardinal is an absolute gem! I have nothing but great things to say about my first experience staying in a yurt. If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful retreat, this yurt is for you! The host provided excellent communication and recommendations for nearby hiking trails, restaurants, and local attractions. Thank you again to the host for the best birthday weekend and making me feel so special. I can’t recommend Hillside Retreats enough and I’m looking forward to returning in the fall!

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I stayed in The Cardinal yurt and had a wonderful time. The location was remote, but close enough to explore Hocking Hills. The yurt was extremely clean and comfortable. The host had great communication and her attention to detail was second to none. Highly recommend!

Amazing !

My husband and I loved this as our little get away! They are more then welcoming and will tend to any needs! Our propane was out on the grill and they showed up and answered immediately to ensure we had propane! Will be staying again! Wish I could give more then 5 stars!
