Do you need to get away? The Cabin and Cottage share 10 acres of wooded bliss. We are taking extra cleaning precautions and can provide plenty of fresh air while maintaining minimal contact with others. The Cottage at Gold Run is part of the 10 acres of Crossing at Gold Run and includes the Cabin at Gold Run that can be booked together. The entire property sits just 8 miles (less than 10 minutes) from Susanville and provides stunning views. You`ll adore this tranquil getaway so much you won`t want to leave. :-)
You will have the whole Cottage and attached decks to yourself. The parking, garage, and yard areas are community property with The Cabin next door (another short-term listing).
Vivint Alarm System: DO NOT TOUCH the alarm panel near the front door. It is not set for guest use. You have no way to disarm it, and the police/fire department will be dispatched if the alarm is set and triggered. You will be responsible for the $150 fine for any false alarms. NO Swimming in the pond.
Guests will be able to access hosts through the VRBO platform, text message, or cell phone during their stay.
Lassen County offers hunting, fishing, and incredible sightseeing opportunities. Gold Run Road ends, and the gates to the Plumas National Forest begin, where OHV use is encouraged. Numerous fire lookouts within 20 miles provide unparalleled views. World-famous Eagle Lake, Antelope Lake, and Lake Almanor are nearby. The Bizz Johnson Trail can be ridden from Mason Station to Susanville, 28 miles downhill (mostly).
Susanville is a small town with groceries, fast food, Walmart, and other basic stores.
Bring a flashlight if you plan to arrive after dark. We have outdoor lighting, but it`s in the forest, and it can be quite dark. ;-)
Please park in front of the garage and NOT on the grass or paver walkway. There are external cameras on walkways, garages, and fire pit areas.
We love dogs at The Crossing. We ask that you never leave your pet unattended and leashed when on the property, never allow them up on the furniture, and please clean up after your dog.
There is NO smoking or vaping allowed on the property or in the Cabin or Cottage.
Finally, since our cottage is in California, we are prone to rolling blackouts. These blackouts affect power and the internet. We have no control over when these blackouts occur, and while they’re brief, they can be inconvenient for some guests. Most guests who experience the blackouts understand it’s temporary and enjoy the peace of this amazing property; however, if you need to be connected 24/7 with zero interruptions, this may not be the property for you. Please consider this before booking.
*We have a generous cancellation policy, and while we realize that you may need to cancel, if you do so, we will withhold 3% to cover the fees we pay our credit card processors. Thank you for understanding.
