The suburb is well-served by the Sydney Metro Northwest Line, with Macquarie University and Macquarie Park stations providing quick access to the city in around 20 minutes. Known for its business parks and retail hubs, Macquarie Park also boasts plenty of green spaces like Lane Cove National Park and Fontenoy Park, ideal for outdoor activities such as picnics, bushwalking, and cycling. The nearby Macquarie Centre is a hub for dining and entertainment, offering a variety of eateries and cafes.

- Explore nature in Macquarie Park, or meander from there down the riverside walk which forms part of the Lane Cove National Park. Pack a picnic and keep your eyes peeled for lorikeets, kookaburras, brush turkeys and swamp wallabies who might join you on the way!
