Excellent service recovery. Trouble with diluted hand soap at the kitchen sink (that squirted my pants) and expired Brita filter were promptly remedied by the host, who provided us with replacements within a couple of hours of my notification. As I told the host, I place a premium on such responsiveness.Kitchen was extremely well provisioned, beyond what I expected. A small smoothie blender was a particularly welcome item for me, and I appreciated that they have small countertop mixer, though I did not use it. Host is aware that kitchen counters were not properly cleaned before our visit, which is why I could only give a four-star rating for cleanliness. Listing is accurate and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. We particularly appreciated the host's zero-tolerance policy for smoking and toking--it's one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. We enjoyed reading about their rapid-eviction action plan for any intrepid guest who would dare violate their clearly stated prohibitions. One additional note about the duplex nature of this place might be helpful. This home appears to have been originally built as a single-family dwelling and then later split into a duplex. The back door for our side of the duplex opened onto a porch just a couple of feet from a bedroom window for the other half of the duplex (per explanatory signage near the back door). We were quiet with ingress and egress, but I still felt a little bit bad for the occupant of the other unit.
