„The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.“

„We were very happy with our accommodation. Bad luck that the restaurant was closed but we made good use of the gorgeous old Pub just down the road. Pool was great as were other facilities.“

„We had a wonderful stay at Melfort. A few days on our own, then joined by our daughters and baby grand daughter, we were cosy, warm and relaxed. The lodge was perfect, baby gates and highchair provided, and the pool lovely and warm, encouraged a swim every day! The staff are friendly and super helpful, even giving the wee one a present from Santa before she left! This was our third visit, and it definately won't be our last.“

„We have stayed several times at Melfort Village and always love it. Friendly staff, comfortable cottages-especially enjoy the log fires-and our dog is welcome although unfortunately the on site restaurant is no longer dog friendly.“

„Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. The staff are great, enthusiastic and helpful.Walks in the nearby hills or to the lochs. The Village is well placed for access to the magnificent nearby scenery (but do not follow the receptionist recommendation as to how to get to the falls - the road is a nightmare and there is a longer but better way!). „We visited for Mums birthday in March there were 4 of us plus one dog. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable and not too far from the main buildings. I visited the pool two mornings and really enjoyed the facilities. It is a great base for exploring the West of Scotland with some beautiful scenery . We had a takeaway from the restaurant and it was delicious and well worth a try.“

„Die Bilder im Inserat versprechen nicht zu viel - die Aussicht vom Wohnzimmer und der Terrasse ist grandios. Ein wenig getrübt wurde der Aufenthalt dadurch, dass ständig gelüftet werden muss, weil das Holzhaus sonst etwas muffig riecht. Dass bei dem üppigen Mietpreis der Strom noch extra dazukommt, ist etwas übertrieben.“
