Me and six other friends decided to stay here for its proximity to the Texas Renaissance Festival, restaurants, and generally just to have a nice time. Everything was stocked well and rooms were very well prepared. The group had very few complaints, the only issues we had was that when we arrived the front door smart lock was not working and we could not use that door for the remainder of the trip as a main exit as we couldn’t lock it from the outside, so we had to leave through the garage instead. Pool was filled with leaves but it was not a major issue for us as we did some cleaning ourselves. Wiring in the house is a little confusing as there are light switches kind of everywhere and sometimes their placement doesn’t exactly make sense, although most light switches are labeled. Other than those few little issues we all had a great time and the host was very quick with her response if we ever asked anything. If we are ever back in that area we would definitely choose this place again.

Fabulous House for Large Group

Fantastic house and wonderful neighborhood. The host was very responsive and pleasant to communicate with. We had a large group of friends stay, and everyone is now looking at renting this house for other gatherings. Absolutely fabulous!

Miserable Stay – Bee Infestation, Poor Maintenance, and Lack of Privacy

Unfortunately, our stay at this VRBO was far from relaxing. The biggest issue was a bee infestation, which made it unsafe to enjoy the space—one guest was even stung. It was clearly a known issue, with patchwork on the home showing prior attempts to block the bees. Despite contacting the homeowner immediately and her efforts to help, we dealt with bees every single day of our four-day stay.The outdoor area was poorly maintained, with moldy, mildewed bricks and a dirty pool with a non-functioning filter. The homeowner had to clean the pool manually during our visit.Privacy was also lacking, with the homeowner making frequent, unannounced visits—a far cry from the private retreat we expected. If you've seen the VRBO commercial, imagine Nick Saban showing up repeatedly.Inside, the home had a musty odor and the main shower had grimy, half-working fixtures. Even evenings in the hot tub were disrupted by loud frogs, which drowned out music and conversation.For nearly 2,000 in fees, the experience did not match the price. After the stay, I requested a partial refund due to the many issues, but the homeowner refused, citing that we stayed and endured the issues which we did due to the size of our group and her only offering to accommodate a single guest. We communicated all the problems.I rarely leave negative reviews, but this property is not maintained to acceptable standards, and our stay was more stressful than enjoyable.#VRBOreview #VacationFail #TravelWarning #BadExpe

Attending a wedding just down the street at Sandlewood Manor. This beautiful home was just what we envisioned. Clean, spacious, full of amenities. from pool, pool table shuffleboard grill large kitchen for breakfast lunch and dinner. Bedrooms were large and bed comfortable.

Not Gorgeous.

POOR COMMUNICATION AND MANA. I received the gate code to enter the property but not the door code to the house. My first thought of the home was that it is in bad need of updating. It is definitely not handicap accessible. As I walked around the property, the pool is dirty with leaves and pine needles. The home temperature was warm and the thermostat cannot be set any cooler than 72 degrees. Immediately I noticed the WiFi was not working and I contacted Deanna the host. She began making excuses and makes up numerous excuses including a storm that came through a few days ago and then it changed to it being a loose wire inside the house. I checked the routers and connections because I thought it may be a simple fix. While I’m on the phone with her she asks me to grab a ladder out of the garage and climb on the cabinet and check the connections. At this point I’m upset and asked her if she had checked out the house prior to having guests to ensure it was ready. She never answered the question. At that point she asked me to call Xfinity to troubleshoot with them. I told her I did not go on a family weekend to be on the phone with Xfinity when I should be relaxing with my family. She got an attitude and said she would send someone out to fix the issue within the hour. Over 2 hours later a nice guy shows up and says he’s there to check out the WiFi. He says he doesn’t know what he’s looking for but he’s doing Deanna a favor. No wifi all weekend.

Amazing property!

This was a very beautiful property with a lot of amenities, from the pool, to game room, and basketball court. My family enjoyed everything about this property and the location. The neighborhood was really nice and quiet, which provided a great vibe for an early morning walk or early evening scroll. Also, the host Deanna was absolutely amazing! She was very responsive and made sure we had a very enjoyable stay. The next time my family and I are in the Houston area, this property is at the top of our list! I highly recommend it for large famous group.

Holiday Family Reunion

Our stay in this lovely home was superb! The home was very clean, comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. We stayed the week after Christmas, so the unheated pool was tried by only one brave soul; our next stay should be in warmer weather! The snowbirds among us used and enjoyed the hot tub. We had plenty of room for working puzzles, playing games, eating meals, and visiting in small and large groups. The kitchen was well equipped and the large pantry was ideal for the food we brought. The outdoor kitchen was very inviting, tho unused, during this winter stay. The outdoor area around the pool was very inviting, but a bit cool unless you were wrapped in a blanket! This home is close enough to access restaurants and activities both in Tomball and along Highway 290 in Cypress. This is a great setting for making great family memories! We were grateful for a host who quickly responded to our pre-trip questions and was easily available by phone during our visit. We would love to return!

AMAZING

My wife and I got married in Magnolia, and we used this property as housing for the bridal party, and the overall experience here was absolutley perfect. It was perfect for the number of people we had and there was pletny to do to keep us entertained. It was also very convenient that every bedroom had a bathroom. Everything about the stay was perfect, and Deanna, the owner, was very nice and very helpful in every part of the stay.

Activities not as described. Many problems with house

There were multiple problems that we had to deal with at this property. I generally am understanding but I felt that the owner was not knowledgeable and did not take the time to make sure we were taken care of. Additionally when you pay this high a price for a property you expect an extra level of care. 1. Pool was not used at all and the kids were very disappointed. The temperature could not be gotten higher than 78 deg. We were told it is because of the cold temperature outside but then we were still charged $800 for the pool heating. That is unfair. 2. Tried to operate the spa but could not get it to heat properly. 3. Had to deal with the pool guy who could not get it working. 4. Master bedroom heater broken for 2 nights. Told to use the space heater. Again I understand that stuff breaks...but the heating system, really? 5. Spent 2 hours dealing with hvac repair wandering all over the house. We found them up in our bedroom wandering through our closets. They could not fix the problem and wasted several hours of my vacation. 6. Tennis/pickle ball net was not attached correctly and could not be lowered to ground. Owner did not know how to fix if. 7. Tennis court was covered in leaves and branches. Looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time. Owner expected us to clean this off. 8. Pool table only had 1 functional pool stick. All other sticks did not have cue tips. We could play with 1 stick but with the amount paid for this house we expected more.

Beautiful Property

Overall, the property was great! Everything was beautiful from the outside to the inside. Everyone was so amazed at how much this property had to offer. Just a little heads up the third bedroom looks like it was used for a study before converting it into a bedroom. The other issues were minor, and Deanna corrected them right away. She always responded right away. The home definitely exceeded our expectations and made us feel at home. Thank you for allowing us was to stay at your beautiful home.

Little Splice of Heaven

We came from all over the US for a team retreat, so the rooms and space were perfect. The house is massive and fully stocked with everything you need. The pool and outdoors were the best part and it's so incredibly peaceful. There were a few minor inconveniences like a door not opening to go outside, a handle coming off a door and it being super freaking hot in half the house in the afternoons, but they were things we worked around. Overall, we had such a wonderful time and the team made some incredible memories. The master suite & bathroom is absolutely stunning and so spacious. The front staircase and sitting room was our go to place to congregate. The pool and outside was the best part... it was just heavenly!!!

Snik Family Reunion

We came from all over the US to celebrate our Mom/ Grandma’s 93rd birthday. This house is beautiful and perfect for our family. We have been doing vacation rental homes for the last 15 years and this one is by far the best one. Very clean, well stocked from shampoo to garbage bags, plenty of towels and beach towels. Deanna is the perfect host, addresses any concerns right away. All I can say is you rock Deanna. We hope to be back in 2 years.

Tomball Paradise

We stayed in this property for a family vacation, our group of adults and kids wanted an easter getaway where everyone could relax, swim, and escape reality for a few days. Booking was easy, and Deanna was responsive with any questions we had prior to arrival. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful, we espcially loved watching the cows from the backyard. Check in and arrival were a breeze, and the detailed guide at the house answered most of the questions we had about the property. Everything was just as it appeared in the pictures , the beds were clean and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked. It really is a tremendous house....you could stay here with a large group and never feel crowded. We especially loved the outdoor space. The pool and hot tub were our favorite, along with the outdoor games, and cooking area. The kids in our group spent just about their entire day in the pool every day that we stayed here. Deanna was also very responsive while we were there offering any help she could, and answered all the questions we had. Overall this was a great property, and experience and we would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Home

Immediate family visiting for a wedding and we needed to have a large place to stay and relax between events. The home and outdoor amenities are expansive! The pictures are great but don’t capture the actual scale of the property. Tucked in an area of like homes sitting on several acre lots provides sense of seclusion and privacy in NW Houston. Interior is beautiful and well maintained. Property manager was excellent and everything you may need was readily available for guests. Definitely would stay again! Thank You!!
