About a 15 minute walk to downtown dinner/drink areas. Small room and bathroom (horrible lighting, had to do my makeup on my phone camera). Shower was incredibly small as well. I feel it is expensive for what you get, but I guess thatâs traverse city summersâŠ
First I would like to say that the apartment was centrally located to the downtown TC area and several breweries/ restaurants that we were able to walk to. The apartment was clean, the bedding and bed were comfortable and we enjoyed the complementary locally made bourbon with cherry liquor given to us. While small, the apartment was decorated with a cute cherry theme and we appreciated the quick responses to our communications with management. Some suggestions for improvement would be to update the couch as itâs looking very worn and doesnât fit with the decor of the apartment . Other suggestions would be to add another luggage stand in place of the bulky coat rack that took up alot of space as the one stand was not enough for 2 bags or pieces of luggage and to offer tea bags in addition to coffee. One problem that arose when we wanted to watch a movie was that we were unable to access Roku when given the PIN code and had to log in with our own email and create an account. Lastly, although out of managementâs control, it important to note that there is a dance club located behind the back parking lot of the apartment building that is open 7 days a week until 2am. The loud music kept us up at least 2 of the nights during our stay and could be heard in the back bedroom which was unfortunate.

I typically stay in hotels when traveling for work on a weekly basis. I wanted to try something different this time and found this location. The price point location and state of the room were perfect. Everything is a short walk from downtown and the host is very easy to communicate with. I will definitely book again.
Iâll keep it brief and accurate. This place is very shabby and roughly equivalent to a 1-star motel. I booked here last minute for a quick work trip in town. There was a noticeable gap in one of the windows where gnats and other bugs likely entered. I lost a lot of sleep as the gnats and bugs swarmed around my head and nose in my sleep. I can't really say much more than "bugs" to give you an idea of how I feel about this trip. Also, I didnât receive check info via e-mail until the day I was leaving. So, there was some delay checking in, but the host responded promptly. Apparently the property is listed on multiple platforms, and the info I received was from a non-VRBO site.
My wife and I came up to Traverse City for the weekend to do some shopping and go to the local breweries/wineries. The property was perfect for the two of us and was within walking distance of everything we were looking to do. I would definitely come back for future weekend trips.
Stayed for 3 nights - great location close to downtown food and activities. Old building with old building charm but well maintained and clean. Others have mentioned noise which was intermittent during my stay (only one night of night club music). White noise machine helps a lot and is a considerate touch. The apartment is small but fine for one or two people. If you want the spa treatment at a luxury resort, look elsewhere. But if you want a crash pad in a great location and mostly plan to enjoy Traverse City instead of the room, this is an excellent option. I travel to TC a few times a year and I would definitely stay here again.
This was not our best experience with a VRBO property. The building was run down. The âapartmentâ was a lot smaller than the listing made it appear. Very low water pressure in the shower. It was also dirty. The best thing it offered was the close proximity to Boardman Lake Trail.
We enjoyed our stay. The place seemed to be an historic throw back of which TC has so few for overnight stays. We felt we were staying in a century old maritime workerâs boarding house. Pretty unique.
Clean but we had many issues!
When we arrived the lock box was not working properly. Once we were able to get inside, we saw that the chain lock on the door was broke. I sent a message through the app they sent someone to fix it within the next 2 hours which was great. Although, this should have been caught before we arrived.
After checking in and dropping our things off we left for the evening. When we returned and were getting ready for bed, we realized the only electrical outlet in the bedroom didnât work.
There is one air conditioning unit for the apartment, and it is in the living room. This is an issue for air to circulate into the bedroom. We had to have it on the highest setting and then it took many hours before the room temperature came down.
The next morning, we discovered that the refrigerator wasnât working and now our food was spoiled! We purposely brought food, so we didnât have to purchase breakfast!
Please take note of other reviews that talk about the outdoor noise! They are not exaggerating!!
We only stayed 1 of the 2 nights that we had reserved. We did not stay our second night and found another place to stay. We requested a refund, and they gave us a 60% refund (The 60% was not applied to the VRBO fee).
We will not be returning.
This is not meant for tall people. My husband doesnât fit in the shower and has to duck to get under the shower head. Also the apartment is small and cramped. There is a night club behind that makes a racket past 11pm and an auto body shop next door that woke us up at 8am with their impact gun. Also this seems to be the main road for drag racing. And then we have to basically completely do all the picking up and cleaning. Not that weâre going to trash the placeâŠ. But Iâve never had to strip the bed.
This was a nice find. Location was excellent - close to downtown and the bike path. Also great beer and pizza close by. Property was as described and the owner was responsive. This is not a luxury apartment but it was clean and had everything you need for a few days. Bed was excellent. No storage space in walk through bedroom but had a luggage rack and stand in the living room. The noise that others complained about was not a problem - tire shop did start at 7:30 but we were up by then. In summary a great place for 1 or 2 people.
It was a lovely little place to stay. Clean and comfortable! Just the right size for the two of us.
Communication was quick and easy and all the details were covered.
Would definitely stay here again next time we come.
Property is outdated, needs to be cleaner and more functional. And the fact that late night activities in the area are loud and go to 2 am plus need to be addressed. I understand Traverse City is expensive, but this place should be about $60 a night. Itâs really a dump that I paid close to $300 a night for.
We had a nice stay in this apartment. It was an easy walk to downtown and we enjoyed walking through the neighborhoods. The listing description is very accurate. It is an older building, but the apartment was clean and comfortable. Regarding the noise, the nigh club behind the building is open daily. We couldn't hear the music so much as feel the bass. There was also street noise with people yelling, car alarms, and loud car engines. There is a tire shop across the street that was also very loud at 7:30 Monday morning (we're early risers, so no problems there). Again, this was not a surprise because it was noted in the listing, just giving more details. The stairs and hallway to the apartment could use an update, and the building and unit smelled a little musty. But the unit was clean and the towels and linens smelled freshly laundered. It met our expectations and we would consider staying here again.
Great location, pretty much exactly between the two peninsulas. Very clean apartment. Perfect for two people to have a place to lay their head while exploring TC. Walking distance to some bars and restaurants, otherwise just a 5 minute drive to park downtown. Easy parking at the site as well.
After 3 hours on the road we were certainly excited to rest a bit. The apartment was quaint and clean. It was mid April so not too much traffic for a downtown area which was nice. Some sort of loverâs quarrel was the immediate entertainment. The guy was in and out of the parking lot, laying on the horn and pounding on the door. A quick mention to the ELEVATE team and it seemed to resolve itself. The Uber service was A+. The restaurants listed as âhost recommended â need updating because Patessrie Amie is now closed. We thoroughly enjoyed brisket at Hopscotch, fresh baked goods from The Potters bakery and exquisite smoked salmon Benedict and the Surf n Turf at The Towne Plaza. Overall it was exactly what I was looking for and needed. I would use and recommend this service again.
4.5/5
Thank you
Everything was clean, the host was extremely communicative and polite, and the Cherry Capital Walk-up was quaint. The location close to downtown was great.
The only issue, which was beyond the control of any ownership, was the amount of traffic caused be the establishment on Station St. This may not be an issue if you are from a more urban location, however, we are rural people, and just not acquainted with a nighttime noise level.
Knowing this, we would stay there again.
Loved staying here, nice short walk to downtown front street restaurants, shops, and beach! Surprisingly quiet and private for being so close to popular spots like the Filling Station! Host was exceptionally responsive and helpful.
The rental was great, awesome location, convenient for town & wineries & dinners. The AC was a little loud and sounded moist. It also had a tiny bit of mold but other than that it was a great trip! Loved the touch of the bottle of wine!
Last minute reservations made during peak time of year (Cherry Fest). Good location, great management, accurate listing. Would stay here or rent from this property owner/manager again!
