Un magnifique endroit des plus reposant, nous étions arrivées un peu avant l’heure du check in et on nous a tout simplement proposé un petit massage au spa en attendant que la chambre soit prête.. la promesse d’un séjour qui fût parfait en tout point.

double prélèvement du montant du séjour!!
Tres bel hôtel , calme et à 5mn à pied de la monkey forest. par contre l 'hôtel m'a prélevé 2 fois le montant du séjour. j'ai donné ma carte visa , introduit le code et un message d'erreur est apparu , la réceptionniste m'a dit qu'ils avaient un problème avec le terminal à cause d'une coupure de courant quelques minutes auparavant. elle a demandé une autre carte et un autre essai, la deuxième carte est passée. mais à mon retour de vacances la banque m'informe que l'hôtel à débité la somme sur chaque carte!!! J'ai demandé le remboursement , et j'attends!!!

Chambre magnifique, ambiance apaisante et en immersion totale dans la jungle. Piscine très agréable et service / restauration impeccable (on vous conseille un dîner sur la terrasse de la chambre). Proximité de la monkey Forrest appréciable.

Belle prestation dans l'ensemble
Le séjour à la Villa Sonia est un moment très agréable : très belles piscines, chambres au calme, personnel très gentil, souriant, aux petits soins. L'emplacement géographique : hôtel situé derrière la Monkey Forest, c'est très appréciable parce que pas dans le centre bruyant et trépidant d'Ubud. Pour y aller, il faut marcher 10 mn et longer la Monkey forest, c'est absolument sans danger, je l'ai fait tous les soirs avec mes enfants. Chemin très emprunté et agréable. Il y a des petits restos tout près de l'hôtel pour ceux qui ne souhaitent pas retourner dans le centre. Points négatifs : la salle de bain de la chambre très mal ventilée donc beaucoup d'humidité, pommeau de douche à changer. Connexion wifi impossible dans la chambre donc obligée d'aller à l'accueil pour capter.

Hôtel super très bien situé
Hôtel situé près de la forêt des singes (5 min à pied) avec possibilité d'aller au centre d'Ubud à pied en 15 minutes, seulement 20 pour les plus lents. Hôtel super avec personnel très agréable proposant plusieurs activités par eux-même ou sous-traitées. Nous étions en lune de miel et avons pris la villa garden. Le cadre était agréable et reposant, excentré de l'activité d'Ubud, ce qui nous a permis de nous détendre tout en sachant que nous étions près du centre si nous voulions y aller. Tout était top, nous le recommandons fortement.

Hotel Bien situé, service correct
Chambre spacieuse avec balcon. (Chambre tout a l'arriere assez bruyante car proche parking scooters) Jolie piscine mais peu ensoleillée. Service correct sans plus. Navette jusqu'à ubud gratuite pour l'aller mais pas le retour (cherchez la logique). Pas vraiment de restaurant ni d'espace pour le petit déjeuner, ils préfèrent venir l'apporter sur la terrasse (choix du petit déjeuner à faire la veille). Situé dans une rue plutôt calme mais avec tout de même des restos, magasins, etc donc plutôt bien. Pour accéder a ubud le plus court est de longer la monkey forest, comptez 20min a pied. Scooter est tjs plus pratique à ubud, il faut juste comprendre la logique de la circulation assez spécifique.

A 2 pas de la monkey forest qu'il faut longer pour se rendre dans le centre d'ubud, plutôt sympa car nous croisions les singes chaque fois. De très bon restaurants juste à côté. Personnel agréable,à l'écoute et très réactif, chambre splendide et comme il s'agit d'un petit complexe, environ 10/12 chambres, pas grand monde a la piscine.

Petit hôtel magnifique en dehors de l'agitation d'Ubud. Salon de massage et restaurant à proximité. A 20min à pied d'Ubud. Hôtel en parfait harmonie avec la végétation, la piscine et le sculptures... Le personnel est au petit soin. Bref un petit coin de paradis.

Location is awesome. It was very easy to rent scooters and get around in the area walking distance to the monkey forest. Staff was friendly, holding her back in the reception The service at this hotel was not the best, and breakfast was mediocre The chef making eggs did a really good job Room cleaning was happening at 5 o’clock which is a little late cause that’s normally when you want to relax and get ready for dinner

Väldigt bra!
Fantastiskt hotell! Oerhört mysigt både inne och ute. Trevlig personal. Var en bit ifrån centrum på gott och ont men fanns lite restauranger i närheten. Frukosten som serverades var helt okej. Mycket lagad mat.

If you want peace and quiet from the city, this is the place to be! (Or other villas in this strip) It was beautiful; every corner you turn in the villa was a photo opportunity! The outside area and the pool was really nice. The room was okay, the bed was a bit uncomfortable. There was no fridge, and only 2 free bottles of water per day. For the price, I would expect more. We found that the Mosquito net was just for show, so if that matters to you better to put on some repellent or spray the room before sleeping. The wifi was very average, especially at night.

This hotel has everything. The rooms are clean and spacious with lots of privacy and excellent views. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the pool where we enjoyed coffees in the evenings. There are 2 exceptionally clean and beautiful pools. The staff are always attentive to cleanliness and keeping pool towels stocked. The restaurant food is delicious but there are also a dozen wonderful restaurants on the same street - which is relatively quiet and walkable. The spa service is inexpensive and relaxing. The floating breakfast is fun and inexpensive also. Of the dozen villas I've stayed at in Bali, this is the best!

This property was sadly not as advertised on several levels. We booked 8 nights and had to find another hotel after enduring three nights here. First the internet rarely if ever worked. If your traveling this is a big deal as you cannot make plans for your days. We reported this on several occasions only to be told it’s the tower and thus not there fault. The rooms were run down from the front door not locking to the air conditioning not working to only having one channel on there tv which was unwatchable. Now the reason why we could not stay under any condition are the large snakes in several of the common areas. Also the wood panels by the pool have rotten wood and we saw mice underneath these and as such there were snakes in the area. We recorded this and reported it and management was completely unresponsive to our concerns. I finally had to demand a meeting with the hotel manager as he avoided us as much as possible. He finally agreed to let us leave although he demanded I pay for the entire 8 nights no matter what conditions they provided. I finally got him to agree to let us leave penalty free as we were afraid for our safety because of snakes and the rooms were not as advertised. When we checked out I was told the manager decided to charge two extra nights as a penalty even though he had just agreed to none. I never saw him again as he apparently left right after we met and was not responding to his employees calls. This property was such a complete disappointment.

Birthday Surprise
This staff is amazing! I had a birthday over my two day stay and I told no one there about it. To my surprise on my birthday there was a knock on my door and when I opened it three staff members were there holding a plate with two pieces of cake and candle. They sang “Happy Birthday” to me as I tried hard not to get misty eyed. Thank you for showing me a kindness I will never forget!

Beautiful space, some functionality issues
It’s a good hotel. Service is also great. I had a problem with my bed on the first night and so they didn’t charge me for that which was very kind. I was travelling with a friend and sharing a twin room. The bathroom situation was complicated as there was no door at all. Also no shelves or soap dish hanger or anything at all to put stuff in in the shower area so it was pretty to look at but not so functional. Shower also had a glass wall and with the blinds not completely being shut.

great place if you like nice clean quiet accomidation Good food and service in a local village atmosphere This was our 3rd time and hopefully will be back again All staff try really hard to please and the gardens are fantastic Not a lot of shopping within walking distance but there is some They offer a free shuttle into Ubud

Great service & friendly staff
Stayed at Villa Sonia for four nights and really enjoyed my stay. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. They also have free shuttles. It was a little difficult walking due to traffic but the hotel is in a quiet villa so that was nice:-).

Villa Sonia was in a perfect location. Beautiful street that backs onto the monkey forest. Room was great, good bed, nice bathroom. Breakfast was good. Lovely pool and gardens. Location close to Ubud city centre.

Villa Sonia was an oasis of calm. Just a short walk (20 mins) away from the centre of Ubud. The hotel have a shuttle service four times a day for those who cannot make the journey by foot, or just prefer to be driven. The cleanliness and attention to detail at the hotel is just wonderful. Villa Sonia is located at Nyuh Kuning village. There's a sweet bakery just up the road, and a good quality (locally priced) restaurant across the road. Staff were wonderfully helpful. When I arrived I was replenished with a welcome drink, and also given a complimentary foot massage.

Very friendly staff, good area. Close to monkey park and half hour walk to town center. Nice rooms and very quiet hotel. Small breakfast but quite sufficient. Two pools and beautiful gardens

The room was stunning! There was also a beautiful pool. Hotel is in a nice area and very quiet. It is such a great value for your money. I would definitely stay again!

Gorgeous hotel, wonder staff, amazing experience
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this gorgeous hotel and it’s lovely staff. The Balinese are the kindest, loveliest people and the staff at villa Sonia are no exception. I stayed here for two weeks and was very sad to leave. The food is delicious, location is excellent and the room was homey and clean.
