« Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. « Our group of four just stayed for a week in August and had an incredible time at this property! We found everything to be true to the listing if not better, and the stunning views from multiple directions made our stay even more memorable. We were able to explore a great deal of the surrounding areas thanks to the central location, with short hops to nearby Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove, Chester, and of course Halifax and other great destinations. Highly recommended! »

« Met by the very attentive owner who is very polite. Answered texts very quickly, and checked in to make sure everything was okay and to see if I needed anything. Place was clean, bed is very comfortable, and amenities are close by with a car. Easy access to major highway close by. »

« The place we stayed was a little bit away from the convenience. It was too far for walking since bus stop was distantly away. Fortunately we got rides and didn't need bus transportation. Overall the place met our satisfaction since it was in a quiet area and we only stayed for few hours for sleeping each day. »
