TDLR: I had to leave the stay 5 days early because it was so dismal. So the host booked me in a separate unit on the property because the one pictured / advertised above, its ensuite washroom needed repairs. Also I learned that unit pictured is not in fact the entire house but rather a private room with a shared common area/kitchen. Very misleading advertising when it says ‘entire home’ on the ad (also that’s what VRBO boasts) and only at the very very bottom in small print does it mention common space. It’s deceitful. My review will be on the place I did stay: the basement of the big house on the property (I booked for 10 days, I left on day 5 and issued a complaint for a refund). It is fine if all you’re looking for is lodging - a roof over your head and that is it, it is bare bones type of VRBO. There is sparse plating/utensils, no lamps, no couch (one chaise lounge that doesn’t work) some VERY small towels that are worn through (if you’re beyond a women’s size medium they barely fit) and a total of 4 clothing hangers. The bed is like a slab of marble and the pillows are so uncomfortable. Also the entirety of the kitchen is saranwrapped (covering the cupboards, backsplash and cabinetry) because they don’t want oil splatters, ostensibly. What I will say in a glimmer of a positive light, the space was completely clean, and the host was responsive - but given the type of hosting they provide it’s not as though they could add anything to ameliorate the stay.
