DJ in the lobby meant we couldn’t sleep at our desired time of 10pm - constant thumping was felt/heard even through earplugs (which we shouldn’t have to wear). Hotel rooms are meant for sleep when guests desire sleep. Consider moving the nightclub off property or installing much better sound-deadening in the lobby ceiling. We did not rest properly - and for the amount of money paid to stay in this hotel, this is obviously not a good look/experience.
Absence of an in room fridge is a bit strange. The Yeti cooler is nice, but doesn’t fit the image of a five star brand when it’s just sitting out in the open. I had also asked for ice to be placed inside - concierge confirmed this but it didn’t happen. Same for my bonvoy number - which was provided but not uploaded.
Overall, nice hotel, Aesop amenities were nice, staff was good but the fundamental noise issue led to a lower rating. We won’t be back or recommend unless the noise issue is fixed.
