„Stayed in a lovely little chalet with a terrace with a view over the park itself. Just the thing for a sundowner. Very comfy bed and an outdoor shower. Loved that! Sae a lot of wild animals close up during the tours. The buffet is somewhat overrum when everybody wants to eat at the same time. Too few sunloungers by the pool.“

„Schöner Resort umgeben vom Golfplatz. Restaurant mit Balkon auf den Golfplatz. Essen war top und der Service sehr freundlich und herzlich. Leider hat es mit dem Wunsch nach zwei Einzelbetten nicht geklappt (Reinigungs-Personal schon im Feierabend). Wir waren dort für eine Nacht.“

„Hans, ein deutscher Auswanderer, gibt sich sehr viel Mühe und hat immer einen lustigen Spruch auf Lager. Super Unterkunft, sehr komfortabel und sauber, kleiner Pool im Innenhof. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Tipp: nutzen Sie Uber um von Weingut zu Weingut zu kommen, extrem günstig und gut verfügbar. Mietwagen lieber stehen lassen, wenn man Wein trinken möchte.“

„Pure Bliss, this is an amazing location. The silence and nature is perfect just to get away from the hustle and bustle. The owner is also very welcoming making sure there is enough wood and making sure our stay was amazing. The Hot tub is amazing and overlooks the forest. So cosy and relaxing. Its also only 1.30min from Cape Town.“

„Lovely high spec cottage. Clean and new interiors. A romantic stay for couples but we had a three year old! Peaceful and quiet location. A short drive to shops and not too far to some good vineyards. Breakfast was quite nice but would be good to have a helpful option. My daughter loved the trampoline and small playground. Felt like a safe location. I’d recommend taking the hotel up on their offer of starting the hot tub for arrival as I couldn’t manage it!“

„We stayed 3 nights in the Grootbos and spent an unforgettable time there. Everything was perfect. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The walks and the safari drive with the guide Tiaan were fantastic. Our cottage ( Nr.24 ) was great. The food was delicious. We hope really to come back soon. A big thank to the whole Grootbos Team for the wonderful stay.“

„Was a great stay. Nice location. Unfortunately we had room 3 which has no view to the lake which is a significant desadvantage. We stayed 3 nights. It may be we got this room as we booked trough Hotels.ch“

„Prima appartementen met een mooi gemeenschappelijk terras, heel basic ingericht met gedateerd meubilair, goede open haard. Zicht op de zee is beperkt en zowiezo bederft het hek rond de haven het zicht op de golven in het centrum.“

„Truly amazing! Beautiful room, views and pool area. The food in the restaurant was splendid. The only thing that was a bit strange was that breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before, and coffee/tea was not included. And they have no lunch. I guess my feedback is that they should have more food options available. Another note to future visitors - the mountain road up to the hotel was a bit difficult if you have a smaller car. But other than that it was perfect.“

"Wir haben in einem wunderschönen Cottage übernachtet. Nebenan war gleich ein Pool zum relaxen. Die Restaurants, Weinproben und der Farmshop waren allerdings 2,5km entfernt. Waren, aber mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Das Abendessen im Werf Restaurant war super lecker, ebenfalls das enthaltene Frühstück am Morgen. Wir würden die Unterkunft bei einer erneuten Reise nach Südafrika wieder buchen. "

"We had a fabulous stay at the farms cottage and were welcomed with complementary sourdough bread and yummy spreads. It is very nicely decorated, spacious and comes with a hot tub that is lovely at night time - I never saw so many stars before. We had their on-site dinner the first night: my 3 year old daughter nearly finished the entire piece of lasagne as it was so yummy. The farm is lovely: a Trampolin for the kids, the heated pool that we used daily, the friendliness, chicken and dogs that live a happy live and very friendly staff. We needed to see a doctor with one of our kids and they completely took care of recommending a GP and booking an appointment which we more then appreciated. We will definitely come again. Many thanks for such a lovely (and yummy) time. "

"Das Hotel ist in einer ruhigen Gegend (Technopark), zwischen zwei Golfplätzen und verfügt über ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant. Sehr gefallen hat uns die grosszügige Anlage mit vielen kleinen Wohneinheiten."
