Beautiful townhouse in a great neighborhood, walkable to Capitol Hill and many restaurants/coffee shops. Communication was great with the team, would definitely stay again.
Absolutely amazing place to stay with an incredible experience with the managing host company (Sojourn I think?). The place is charming in every sense and clean and beyond what you can see in the pictures. Iâve never felt so welcomed and comfortable on vacation. And when I asked for the check out process, they sent me a message that said something like, âdonât worry about a thing. We have a professional crew who comes in the take care of everything after you leave. Enjoy your stay and make the most of the time you have.âI meanâŠPigeon blinks over here. Fantastic place to stay. And not having a long list of things to do as we were getting out the door was such a blessing.
Wonderful location, clean, beautiful interior, nicely organized. Check in went smoothly. Communication was quick. Would suggest to have small TVs in bedrooms. But Iâd certainly go back to stay if in DC again
Our family stayed in this beautiful house with a park right in front of us. We got to enjoy so many things that were in walking distance. We will be returning for another family trip. Thanks again!
What an amazing location! We could not have been happier with this property. We had two adult couples and one teenager staying a week to do the tourist thing in DC. Half of us drove in, secured a parking pass from our hosts ahead of time and had easy parking in the street out front. The other half flew into Regan and took a 7-minute Uber right over.
Drownstairs the kitchen has everything we needed with plenty of space to eat. We set up a puzzle on the dining room table (we brought with us). Middle level was the kidâs room and living room with the only TV. Worked well for us. Upstairs (third level) were two bedrooms and two bathrooms with plenty of space for four adults.
I especially loved the little touches like boxes of tissues on each floor,, plenty of towels, laundry detergent available andâthe best partâthe HVAC system allows you to manage each of the three levels to separate temperatures and manages them well! We were there the week of Thanksgiving so it was cool-to-cold outside and we were comfortable in all sections of the home.
The hosts were responsive and friendly to all our questions.
We were able to walk everywhere and felt safe doing so, even after dark. A metro station nearby can take you to Arlington National Cemetery and the rental scooters are easy for covering distances in shorter time.
We could not have asked for a better location or experience!
This property is better than the pictures. We stayed for 4 days with our young family and loved the ability to walk everywhere- location, location, location! The space was clean. The hosts were very communicative. We are staying here when we come back!
The advantage of this property is that it is in an excellent location with many parks nearby and walking distance to many attractions.
Evaluating our stay I must warn future visitors that the on-site parking is difficult and should be more clearly explained. There is a garage behind the property which is accessed through an alleyway. I confirmed this prior to my stay and was told that a compact car could fit into the garage. A compact car can fit into the garage however it is very tight with inches to spare. Use of the garage was not explained appropriately by the managing agent and given this we were unable to park in the garage our first night there and had to park in a paid lot nearby. We were told that the garage door opener was the way to access the garage and the garage door opener did not work. There was a way to access the garage through the garden in the back of the unit. However, the door to the garage is old and in poor shape and it was difficult to access the garage through that door.
The property is a townhome and there are three floors so if one is not comfortable climbing up and downstairs often during their stay then perhaps this is not for them.
Property served as an excellent Hill base camp for exploring DC. Walkable to grocery store, playgrounds, parks, museums, metro, Mall, Pennsylvania Ave. Well-equipped kitchen allowed for some âhomeâ cooking. The price is high, considering the condition of the house, though itâs not in poor shape. Had a great weekend.
My family and I loved this property. The hosts were friendly, informative, and accurate about this home. The location was within walking distance of the Smithsonian and many other sites that we were interested in visiting. Our group had 2 couples and 2 children. Having 3 1/2 baths available and the bunk room for the kids was perfect. All accommodations were beautiful, and the kitchen was great. The unit was also very clean. My grandson also left his stuffed animal, and the hosts and cleaning personnel were amazing and mailed "him" back to our home. Do not hesitate to book this home for a wonderful D/C vacation.
Property is in a wonderful location with many amenities, our family was very comfortable. The fact that we booked through VRBO but were unable to communicate through VRBO was very frustrating. We tried to reference the amenities prior to packing but couldnât find the property details. We found out the day before that a permit was needed for parking on the street. It would be nice to have this information along with property details once the rental is confirmed.
Iâm not familiar with older homes, but the floor and stairs were so squeaky that you couldnât leave your room until everyone was up or risk waking everyone. Some light bulbs were burned out. The bedside lamp was not plugged in and couldnât have reached the outlet. Seems like 2 days of maintenance would have made for a much better stay.
Four siblings met in D.C. to celebrate a brother's milestone birthday. We chose this spot for its location (Capitol Hill) but there's so much more to recommend it than just that. It's a historic townhouse with character and comfort. We arrived a few hours before official check-in, but the management company adjusted the access code so we could enter early and leave our bags, which was a huge help. The first night we were all tired and the living space was so inviting that we decided to order in rather than go out to dinner! Official check out was 10 am but, again, the management company adjusted the code so we could leave our luggage in the place for a few more hours while we were sightseeing before heading to the airport. Flexibility like this really made a difference to us, allowing us to focus on the "good stuff" rather than scramble to store our luggage somewhere.
Stop looking around. Book this property! Perfect for being near Capitol area and easy to get anywhere with Metro access nearby. *Gorgeous* home and owners are super responsive. The description is spot on. Loved our stay!
First off communication with the property manager was excellent. Everything happened exactly as expected from needing to know that the second door had the lock to ease of entering the property the property speaks for itself. The photographs donât do it justice in terms of cleanliness. It was the cleanest property. I think weâve stayed in. It was clear that it was sanitized before, we arrived. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with great beds. This place is great for families. It allows folks to spread out as well as come together. We were out and about a lot, but this would be a great place to head to the eastern market buy some fresh fruits and vegetables and cook there at the house , the kitchen is well stocked and the seating arrangements are perfect for families. We really had a great time and this is certainly the place we would stay if and when we are ever back in the DC area the parks across the street weâre also beautiful I donât know if thereâs a better place in DC to stay.
This property was so convenient to walk to the the Capitol and Library of Congress as well as the whole Mall. The property is just as pictured. The second floor has a bunk bed with en suite bath. The third floor has two bedrooms, one with an en suite bath and one that has the washer and dryers. The occupants of the Master bedroom uses the bathroom in the hallway. The bathrooms are all recently remodeled and there are many different smart details such as skylights so they are not dark and don't even need lighting during the day. The property manager is extremely responsive. They have a service that handles the check in and check out and I have some mixed feelings based on my other vrbo stays. I wasn't given any confirmation or information up to 24 hours before my stay so I called for more information. I found out that I needed parking passes, which they provided quickly. You are given a code to the door 8 hours before your check in, which is great. We ended up getting locked out the last day of our stay and the service was not responsive. The property manager responded immediately to my message. I wish I had contacted her that way first. Overall, our stay was really nice and I hope to stay at this location again.
