« Cadre très agréable pour le bar et le restaurant. Bonne cuisine. Accès aux chambres du 2me étage un peu compliqué avec des valises.(pas d'ascenseur) . L'emplacement du parking à l'arrière de l'hôtel requiert une explication et un plan à la réception. »

« Absolutely horrible !!! Staff were horrible and the owner was cursing at me and never got the keys to my cabin even after it being paid and money taken out my account !! Waited for 5 hours just to be told “there has been a double booking” and not even getting a refund or any other cabin !!!! Unprofessional service and behaviour from the owner and the staff ! So disappointed with this company!!! »

« They had the wrong marker for where the place was located. It showed in town but it was 30 miles from the town. We were not able to go due to the extreme distance and they would not refund our money! It was months in advance we tried to work with this place even trying to change dates and they would do nothing »

« Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village. »

« For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location. »

« On the plus side I thought the staff were very helpful. Our evening meal was acceptable, typical 'pub grub' if I can call it that. However our room was totally unacceptable, small, dishevelled and grubby. The carpet was very worn, a crack in the wash basin, a window which could not be opened and a mattress which emphasised the springs above comfort. « The hut looked really shabby from the outside but, thankfully, it was better inside. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped but there were no towels or tea-towels, dishcloths etc. and no tea, coffee etc. The bed linen wasn’t great, with stains and burn marks on the duvet cover. The mattress was stained. As a one night stop-over on a bike ride it was OK, just. »

« The pictures of the property presented a cozy looking what it turned out to be was a drab, dirty and far from cozy place. The bedding was old, though seemed clean. The lights in the kitchen didn't work very well making the area dark. The show door handle was broken and there wasn't any hot water.
