Made a reservation for 2 nights, they charged my card in full. When we got there the place was completely closed, not a single guest or staff at the property. No call backs, no support from the property or Expedia. Am being told we can’t get a refund because that’s the policy.

I will be making a formal complaint. The hotel room was moldy and the room smelled like mildew. The gusts ran up and down the hallways until all hous of the night. Not allowing for rest and relaxation. When asked the guests continued to let children and themselves run wild. No sleep. The walls are so thin we did not sleep as the man who kept us up talking all night then snored all night. Where was the staff? This was a really bad experience now we have not slept. I’m. Still hearing the man snore and kids have begun to run wild down hallway again.

We checked in without an issue. We then went out for dinner and 1.5 hours later we returned and there was no parking due to multiple vehicles taking up two parking spaces. We informed the desk staff and staff told us there was nothing they could do be all the guests were intoxicated. They told us we needed to park on a dirt road off property. Unacceptable

Dear Brian,I'm sorry that this happened. Unfortunately, parking space in the main parking lot is limited, as is mentioned in your pre-arrival texts and emails. When the parking lot is full, we do direct people to park in the overflow parking area we have next door so that they are still able to safely park their cars.

The motel was fine and would recommend it EXCEPT they don’t offer receipts. Stayed for a work event and called multiple times asking for a receipt, answer kept changing and finally they don’t offer receipts-that was problematic for expense report for work. How is that possible?

Cute place, small rooms, hot sauna, comfortable bed, literally across the street from mount snow. For the price it’s a good place. The breakfast was just ok. The game room meant pool, foosball.. no board games. Hot tub had a TON of chlorine. No hand soap in the room so I used the body wash from the bathtub. Cute sitting areas

This place is right at the base of Mt Snow so location is amazing. This is an older property but well maintained with tons of charm.

Cute and quaint!
Cute and quaint inn. Easy check in, check out. Super close to Mount Snow! Great communication with the staff. Clean room & bathroom, just a little small. But the common area, game room area and dining area, all with fireplaces, make up for it. And the continental breakfast was a plus!

Excellent room close to Mt Snow
Heated bathroom floors, heated towel rack! Do I need to say more! We stayed in one of the end suite rooms. They have done a great job of updating this room. Shower was great, gas stove kept the room cozy. Two suggestions, plusher towels and bath robes would just put it over the top. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was nice. Being a 1/4 mile from one of the lifts at Mt Snow is a bonus. I will take this room over many more expensive ones.

Great stay. Location is so convenient to mountain. Receptionist was very pleasant and explained all the basic details (door, Wi-Fi, breakfast, etc…). The Kurig in the lounge was great for a late night cup of coffee. Breakfast was simple but perfect for before skiing.

Disappointed in The Mountaineer this year
We have enjoyed The Mountaineer in the past but the new management is lacking. Breakfast was poor. Pastries and muffins were stale and the milk was not fresh either. No hot food. We had an ice bucket, but were told there was no ice. Strange algorithm charged us double for one of our three mid-week nights. I assumed this was an error but got no satisfaction when I spoke to the manager. I will not be able to recommend this hotel to my friends and I will not return.

Great location to slopes, good continental breakfast, super friendly staff and very clean but as mentioned in other reviews, very thin walls so bring ear plugs if light sleeper.

Older property but our stay was nice. One negative is that you can easily here people in other rooms.

Overall, I would have no qualms about staying at the Mountaineer Inn during future trips to Mt. Snow. This property is well maintained and the rooms are exceptionally spacious. The staff are friendly and very accommodating, though having a second person on hand during breakfast would be helpful. Breakfast was ho-hum; would love it if they added some additional protein options--yogurt was available--such as hard boiled eggs, microwaveable pre-cooked omelets, as well as things like pre-cooked pancakes, waffles, or a waffle iron with batter. (I know the inn advertises a continental breakfast and that these items technically fall outside this category, but it wouldn't take much effort to up their game in this way.) The outdoor hot tub is large and I was glad to see that it had been repaired in time for our stay. The hot tub cover is somewhat unwieldly and may require two adults to remove it.

Close to Mt Snow entrance. MOOver picks up out front too. Lots to do on the property (books, games, hot tub) and many hang out spots throughout the common areas. Nice morning continental breakfast. They also have an area to store your gear. Would stay again!
