The resort is beautiful. Our room was right on the beach. The bartenders served gracious pours & knew how to make about any drink desired. There was only one restaurant on premises, but Tropical Fusion was next door and delightful - especially Friday night lobster buffet.
All the staff was friendly except for Akil, the "general manager". He was a bit gruff, and we could not depend on
anything he told us.
Our 3-day stay was severely marred by unbearable jack-hammering that began the afternoon of check-in until about 4PM. At 8AM the next morning the noise continued, accompanied by periodic interruptions to our water. This interruption went on for hours .We couldn't shower or flush, and didn't know if a shower would be disrupted by water cut-off. The situation continued into our third day.
Akil said he did not know about the repair going on next door is why they put us in our unit. We attempted to discuss our issue with Bria, the resort manager. She never contacted us. We feel she was avoiding us.
The adjustment to our charges promised by Akil was only partially fulfilled. It is sad that such an otherwise fantastic resort is diminished by lack of staff hospitality training.
