Check-in was independent using a lockbox, the room was just as advertised, and the kitchenette was minimal, also as advertised. Knowing ahead that food preparation would be limited, we planned to find breakfast places, and Vince’s suggestions fit our needs well. The room and bathroom have clearly been carefully thought through, with freshly ground coffee and a good selection of tea available, plus fresh cream in the mini fridge, and a basket of snacks. Lighting was well done, though it took me a while to find the switches, and the switch for the outside lights I never did understand. There was a well-written notebook of instructions, which I very much appreciate, having been a host myself, and knowing many people do not read them, but I didn’t find it right away. Maybe include the notebook’s location in the welcome note? Vince was responsive to requests for information, and the bed (the most important feature) was very comfortable.Overall, I was impressed with the care and thought evident in how everything was arranged and what was available, from Q-tips in the bathroom and the sign about the water-sense toilet, to the charging cords for the 2 battery-powered devices in the main room, games, and a good collection of books. I wished for more open surface spaces for my husband’s wallet and keys and our various chargers, but we were able to plug in everything that needed charging (not always easy!), we slept well, and we were comfortable.
