« I absolutely loved this place! Big back yard for my dog to roam (super clean area as well!). Soft comfy bed with a great pull out couch, which deserves a high praise itself. The place was set with coffee, tea and oatmeal for guests. We went to the salt face brewery about 1/2 mile down the road to enjoy some delicious food & epic staff members. Cannot wait to come back. « We were able to book both units in this duplex for a family holiday gathering. Certainly, we could not have found anything better located in Black Mountain. As the property description indicates, we were just five minutes from the center of this lovely small town and five minutes from Lake Tomahawk Park. All of us, including our dogs, enjoyed our stay in Take-a-Hike. »

« Perfect for 2. The view was well worth the extra money both early morning and the nights. Stayed during the winter and the heat was more than enough, and stayed warm during 22 degree weather. Location is nice, you're isolated from the host, but the host is 10 steps away and willing to help however he can. Collier CoveNature Preserve is a short walk away too if you'd want to do a small hike. The approach to the property is a little tricky, you have to share one lane and there are some steep parts...
