The property is beautiful and in such a lovely community! Each property is spread out enough to make you feel you are quite alone! The cabin is beautiful! My only concern is the very steep steps to the loft. The loft is awesome and the grandkids loved it but I was nervous coming back down them. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the cabin and its location and gorgeous views out the windows! Highly recommend!

I stayed here with some friends, 6 people total, and we enjoyed the cabin overall. However, we were disappointed with a couple of things related to the advertisement of the property. First, we were told a few essentials very last minute (around 11am the day of our arrival). First, the host messaged us to bring extra bath towels as they weren't sure they had enough for our group! In the same messages, we were told that the tap water was not good for drinking. Thankfully, a few of our group had not left yet and could accommodate this, but we booked the rental several months in advance — there is no reason the cabin should not have been equipped with enough linens. We also arrived to find that one of the beds did not have sheets, which is unacceptable. The manager did remedy that the following morning. We ran into some trouble with the WiFi both not allowing certain devices to connect and randomly booting others off. Thankfully the property is not so remote that you lose cell service and we were able to use a phone hotspot as needed. The cabin is very cozy and has great outdoor space. The surroundings are beautiful and fall was a great time to visit. We wound up enjoying our stay but wanted to warn others with large groups that the property is not truly equipped to handle 10 adults. Aside from the lack of bath towels, there were also not enough beds, mugs, bowls, or pillows for 10 people, unless you want to use decorative pillows to sleep on and bring an air mattress.

The property was beautiful! My nephew loved the upstairs and all the games. It was the perfect little getaway. It was so nice having everything we needed within a few minutes. Emily was so responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Girls Trip
The Chalet was a perfect fit for our girls trip. We hiked, had a pool day, played golf, and enjoyed our morning breakfast and evening dinners at the chalet. We knew exactly what supplies to bring due to the accurate description. There were no issues at the check in. I would recommend to others and consider a return visit with my family.

Great weekend escape!
We had a great weekend getaway in Innsbrook! This cabin was perfect for a girls reunion weekend and we enjoyed exploring the area (hiking, going to the Market Creamery, and checking out Cedar Lake Cellars winery just a short drive away). The house had everything we needed and was very clean and well-maintained.

It’s a super small cabin roof because it doesn’t seem like an actual cabin. It felt like a company had left over roofs and decided to turn them into vacation rentals. However, it does seem like they are all the same in Innsbrook so it’s not like there was a better option there. There was only one actual bedroom and an open loft with 2 bunk beds and one double bed. So many beds but just one bathroom and the stairs to the loft felt like some of the most dangerous steps we’ve ever had. They were way too steep and had you on edge every time you walked down them. In all fairness, we were there scouting out properties to possibly move to outside the St. Charles area so we weren’t there for what Innsbrook may have to offer. Understanding that is why I gave it 3 stars. If I were to compare it other rentals we’ve had it would be a 1 star. At least it was clean and we had no problem communicating with the host.

Hi Johnny. I'm a bit confused on this review. Maybe you were under the wrong impression when renting our cabin at Innsbrook, or had no idea what Innsbrook was when booking. Innsbrook is made up of A-frame type chalets, which is ours. I would hardly classify it as “left over roofs”. Typical a-frame construction consists of mostly roofing, not standard siding. It is also listed as a 1 bathroom cabin, so I don't understand your comment about the cabin only having one bathroom.... Anyways, for anyone looking to rent an a-frame weekend getaway at Innsbrook, I still think we have a great option! Thanks again!

Spring break with 2 children !
My family all enjoyed our spring visit to Innsbrook and staying in this updated A-frame. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and we were thrilled to have the wood-burning stove to keep us warm and dry on 2 of the rainy days we were at Innsbrook! The owner was quick to respond when we discovered a plumbing problem and it was repaired quickly!

Excellent getaway!
This cozy cabin in Innsbrook was exactly what we needed for our small group of friends to get together over New Years. The cabin itself was clean and cozy with a wonderful outdoor space. We were lucky that the weather was nice enough and we were able to explore Innsbrook. We went on a moderately challenging hike that took us around various lakes and we also highly enjoyed the fire pit area. We were able to bring our dogs which meant that the whole family came along. Highly recommended! Would love to come back in the summertime to enjoy all the other activities that the resort offers!

Serenity in the woods!
We enjoyed spending our Thanksgiving at the cabin. We had everything we needed and enjoying hiking during the day, and fires in the wood burning stove at night. Perfect to relax and reset with family for a few days and a bonus we could bring the dog. Host was quick to respond when we reached out. Highly reccomend.

Perfect family getaway
This was just what we needed. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable with feather pillows, which was a pleasant surprise. There were deer that roamed the property each day. The home and property was clean, quiet and just lovely. We tried to extend our stay, but had to leave for the next renters! We hope to be back!

Family vacation.
The cabin was exactly as described. Clean and comfortable. Our kids had a great time at the pool, lakes, and around the fire. Property owner was easy to communicate with and offered suggestions for activities. Would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway in the woods!

Adorable A-Frame
We really enjoyed our stay at this adorable a-frame! The space has an updated and cozy aesthetic, super comfortable furniture, a clean and generous-sized bathroom, and very comfy bed! AC works great and we were there for some of the hottest July days. Wifi was fast and reliable. A lot of attention to detail was put into this chalet! We would love to come back again!

Cozy A-Frame
We went with a more budget-friendly option and we were very pleased with our decision. We were not looking for a property on the lake as it was too hot to mess with anything like that. The house was clean, comfortable and the information we received from the owner through email was complete and helpful. Other properties we have stayed at in previous locations/states generally have a three ring binder with the information a guest may need about checkout, nearby services, emergecy info, map, additional info about services at Innsbrook etc. The binder was something we looked for and but was not available. Not a big deal. The only issue we had were large spiders in the loft area, we killed three both nights we were there and mice in the kitchen. The first night mice got into packaged food that we had left on the counter. All our food went into closed coolers for the second night and there were no issues, but it was obvious the mice had been on the counter while we slept. Such is life "in the woods" but that was the only thing mark against an otherwise perfectly fine property for a perfectly fine price, and one we would consider renting again should the opportunity present itself.

Hi Bryce, thanks for the feedback! We really do appreciate it. With the crazy 100+ degree temperatures last week the mice must of been looking for some cool air! We did contact our pest control immediately after seeing your review for a new round of mouse treatment. We do treat for spiders and other insects bi-weekly, but still as you mentioned it, it comes with the territory of a house in the woods such as ours. Not speaking on other rental options in IBK but most house in a wooded area has the possibility of spiders. We are committed to the safety and comfort of each guest and truly do appreciate the fair and honest review. Hope to have you back in the future!!

We enjoyed our relaxing getaway to this a-frame in the woods! Emily was fantastic to work with - even saved the day when my tired, crabby daughter was upset that we had forgotten crayons/markers. I texted Emily to see if she happened to have any stashed somewhere, and sure enough, she said to check the dresser in the bedroom. 😊 My kids also LOVED the loft!

Relaxing & Recharging Getaway...For A Great Price
Loved this new Innsbrook getaway. We have been to quite a few different A-frames in this community, and this has by far been the most homely, stress-free, and reasonably priced one thus far! Emily is an amazing host that makes sure you have everything you need - she was also quickly responsive with any questions that may need answers, and was very welcoming too. The wood-burning stove was just as good if not better than a fireplace, the smart tv's worked out great with no connection issues, and the kitchen/bedrooms/bathroom had everything you could need or even forgot to bring. It was clearly dog and kid friendly as well as there were toys for kiddos and even dog bowls and a dog bed. Hoping to come back next year for another (affordable) relaxing time to hang out with family and simply recharge from the city life.

Quiet Winter Getaway
Everything went very well, and we were happy with the property, except due to the very cold temperatures outside, the drainpipes to the shower froze. The shower filled up and we weren't able to take a shower the next morning until it melted later in the day. Other than that, we enjoyed hiking with our dog, and the cabin was very nice.

Beautiful cozy cabin
We had a wonderful time at this cozy A frame cabin. We enjoyed the woodstove in the evening, playing board games. The kids enjoyed the upstairs with the extra games and coloring. We built a fire outside one evening, watched deer in the morning. We can't wait to come back so we can kayak and hike some more around the lake. Thank you again for this nice getaway!
