All reservations for the day of arrival are set for a 3pm check in time. Arriving just after midnight on your arrival date would still incur charges for the evening as the business date of Saturday had not yet been rolled over and you arrived 15 hours prior to check in which would incur a charge for an overnight stay. This is standard policy at all hotels so I apologize if this was not explained to you. I am happy that our hotel was not sold out on Saturday night so that when you arrived just after midnight, our agent was able to get you a room and get you checked into the hotel.We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future. Parking is very limited. I had to park in the parking garage but no where near the hotel. When checking in they were over booked for my room type. I needed two beds and instead gave me a king room since they were overbooked.

The location is easy enough, however the food is just ok at the restaurant. The layout of the hotel is weird, but remember this used to be a department store so hence the weird layout. The onsite shop has a lot of great grab-and-go options, which is great. The staff who checked us in were great, but the follow-up interactions with Ron (?) were terrible. He did not pick up on the social cues that we were not there for his entertainment or in the mood to engage in a conversation with him. They also need to fix the payment system for incidentals at the front desk is the slowest system ever which left us stuck with listening to Ron, unfortunately. Unfortunately when we called back to let them know we were done early with the room and since they were so heavily booked we wanted to let them know it was available he was the one that answered the phone as well. We were well aware that we could not get a refund, nor was that my reason for calling, which had he listened to my purpose of the call he would have heard that was my reason for calling was unnecessary. I don't know if we will stay there again because I would not want to deal with him again. We were there to make funeral arrangements and deal with a family death so just was frustrating to be stuck with that.

The hotel was great and our stay was fine. The breakfast was expensive for our family of 4. If there would have been a kids price the stay would have been rated excellent. My son had one bowl oatmeal and my daughter 3 pancakes. With tip to the staff it was $70.00.

Parking garage door wouldn't open when we tried to leave, but a maintenance guy came down and got it working. We heard from someone else that it has been problematic for awhile. Other than that, it was a great stay.
