First of all, it is extremely difficult to find this block of apartments. The postcode given took us down roads with bollards so we couldn’t get to the parking. We tried 4 different ways in and eventually found it.
On arrival, it was an extremely cold day. The heating clearly hadn’t been switched on in advance of our arrival. It was so cold (7oc! On arrival) and there were no obvious instructions on how to use the heating system. On messaging the host, he did send a video but this was not particularly helpful as we’d already tried most of these things. The first night, we spent under the duvet in the lounge until the place warmed up. One of the heaters in the master bedroom with en-suite was faulty and would not stay on. We had to keep the doors open everywhere to try and get the heat through the apartment. In addition, with terrible signal, there were no WiFi details available. After a considerable amount of time spent trying to get signal to message the host, we did also receive a video with the WiFi details.
Once the first 12 hours had passed, the apartment was warm and the beds were very comfortable. The apartment was clean and fairly well equipped. This place is in a wonderful location, within 5 mins walk of the town centre and has all the makings for a fantastic stay. We just felt the communication from the host could have been better and a little foresight for guests, could have saved a lot of time spent messaging/trying to call about the issues.
