Great Lakes Seaway: Skiurlaub

A great stay at Kimpton, the hotel is inside a building that is part residential part hotel and very well cared for. Quiet, nice rooms - lots of space to walk around and put the crib. There are restaurants and coffee shops nearby that are easy to walk to. Very central, felt safe and quiet. The wine hour and onsite restaurant were an extra comfort that made staying in downtown a breeze. Parking was fast in/out valet. 10/10

Fantastic!!

Beautiful room and staff were great!!

Stayed here for a conference, here's what happen: Water issues - not there control. How it was communicated and dealt with - their control. The evening staff was disgusting, rude and unhelpful! Seemingly the communication issue here is rooted, as they were "glazing tubs" on my floor but no one knew that was scheduled. So I experienced nausea, headache and difficulty breathing. Was moved to a new floor, then someone was assembling furniture at 2am! When I tried to call the front desk, no one answered for an hour of me calling! Then, once again a water issue - no hot water! This all took place over 3 days of my stay. This is my 2nd bad experience with Marriott and affiliates! There were less than a handful of people who actually tried to help and makes things more accommodating- the guy that welcomes you in the lobby, his energy is lovely and infectious in a beautiful way!; the engineer Dave- who tried to fix the temperature, which still didnt work, he ensured to get me another room and check the water before I went as I ONLY needed to shower; the women who helped me move rooms in a haste due to the toxins of the tub glaze, Angie, who was able to retrieve items I left in the room from the day prior in my haste of switching rooms and Wendy, who was very understanding and listened to my complaints and reconciled things as much as she could.
