« The staff were extremely nice, and they double check the cleanliness and status of your room after turnover by the cleaning staff. They made a large effort to have the room ready for an earlier check-in. The room itself was very clean (and the bathroom products smell great). The hotel is situated next to the international tennis hall of fame and is a short walk to downtown, or you can take a slightly longer stroll and head toward the cliff walk/mansions! »

« Over the years we have stayed in almost every fine hotel in Newport. We have made the Castle Hill Inn our regular habit. This hotel is in a beautiful historic mansion on the ocean inlet and a is short walk to the oceanfront state park. The staff is helpful and eager to please, reminiscent of other top tier hotels. The massive oceanside lawn has many Adirondack style chairs to enjourage outdoor rest or socializing. There are indoor and outdoor bars that accomidate every taste even non-alcoholic...

« The property consists of two rental units but this fact is not obvious from the pictures on the website. We did not get the rooftop deck with a view of the harbor. That belongs to the other unit. The sewer pipes are enclosed in the paper-thin walls of the first floor bedroom of our unit so every time someone flushes the toilet, uses the sink, takes a shower, you can hear water flowing through the pipes followed by loud clanging sound. Along with the loud music, people talking, chairs scraping...

The beds are adequate, but not as good as a Marriott or Hilton, one toilet ran constantly, as there must have been a small leak, we asked to have it fixed but it never was.
