My go to hotel in Aber when visiting my son at the Uni. Always a lovely welcome and have never had a bad stay. It's slightly out of town but free parking is a big plus and it's only a short walk into town.

Was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Really good location, close to the town centre, with amenities near by too. We had a family room, which was clean, tidy and very spacious with 2 double beds and additional seating area to watch TV. Good size bathroom with large rainfall shower. Reception staff were lovely too when checking in and out. Overall excellent value for the price we paid.

The parking is not exactly easy when you arrive. But once you get the access code to the garage door all is easy. The property and staff were excellent. The location is perfect.

Where nice and clean hotel. We travelling a lot around the country and seen many hotels. This hotel was so clean and confortable. The staff was very kind and everything was just perfect.

The hotel has been recently updated and to be fair they have done a superb job. The large family room we were allocated, Number30, was lovely, one double and two singles, it also had a settee, 2chairs and a large wall mounted TV. But it also had two major downfalls. One was the lack of air conditioning, the room was unhealthily hot and the other was the fan. The fan belongs to the kitchen and intermittently cuts in all through the night making sleep almost impossible. This complaint is well documented but the owners seem only to want your money , advertise nothing about it and still expect the customer to accept it and pay up. So, I would say, avoid room 30 at all costs. I won't be back anytime soon

Convenient to where we needed to visit
The room had a terrible smell causing a headache and irritated eyes.The toilet did not flush unless pumped numerous times and room was very stuffy.The receptionist did find another room after I complaint.otherroom would have been more comfortable with air on and even this rooms toilet did not flush correctly

Clean and comfortable.
Convenient location. Initially wanted a room for one but no single rooms provided which makes it costly if on your own. A change of plan meant I shared a twin room. The hotel was quiet despite being busy. Good breakfast if you want the full menu but a cheaper continental option would have been preferable.

Better than other reviews make out
Having read some reviews I was a little unsure about booking but was tired after a long working day and needed to rest somewhere quick, and to be honest it was fine! Comfy bed decent sized TV WiFi that works and a decent shower! OK breakfast at £10pp is OTT but Morrison’s is across the road with their varied cheap and wholesome options (which is what I did) also McDonald’s and Subway. Would I stay again? Yes. Don’t be put off it’s not like a Travelodge at all, beds are way more comfortable and tv is bigger!

The Night Porter
The Reception staff when we checked in and out were friendly and lovely. We spent very little time at the hotel as were in the area for a family birthday. When we returned to the hotel in the evening, around 20.30, there was a male assistant st Reception. He didn’t acknowledge us in any way, not even lifting his eyes to say good evening, My sister and I were quite stunned by his rudeness.

Awful. Don't even bother.
On arrival, we were rushed through check-in and not given the information, and the room was dirty. The shower was full of black mould, and the bed had stains/dirt and someone else's hair in it. The hairdryer had to be replaced because it didn't even have a plug on it. The floor hadn't been vacuumed properly, and there was rubbish behind the bedside tables, along with what looked to be brick dust. Every time bar one we went round to reception there was no one about. The staff we did deal with both on the phone and in person were rude and uninterested in correcting the issues. We had to change our booking due to extreme weather conditions making the journey impossible, and were charged an extra £10 a night for the same room. We were told breakfast was extra so we ate elsewhere, after considering the state of the room itself, and on check-out, we were then charged for breakfast anyway, in spite of raising this point. An hour prior to the check-out time, the housekeeping knocked on our room door, and before we could say we were still in there, she let herself into our room while playing on her mobile, before realising the room was still occupied. When checking out, I gave them the review form they had left in the room, and I was accused of being rude because I argued the higher price. Was told they would look into the issues but have had no answers/contact from them.

Hotel fantastic location, but very very dated room, towels did not match, bedding really poor quality. shame, could be so much better. The basic travelodges are far better than this. The bar area, not very inviting, no welsh spoken what so ever - in Aberystwyth.

This hotel is in desperate need of TLC, especially in the bedrooms. It has the potential to be a very nice hotel, as it was in the past. Seriously over priced.

In need of upgrading
Good location in the town. Rooms are clean but dated. Bathrooms a bit shabby. Given a room designed for those with disability, shower too low and enclosure did not hold water so had to put down towels so we could go back in there. TV didn't work. If you want a no frills bed for the night in a good location it's ok but if you're expecting a bit more for your money then best to avoid.
