Although the apartment listed check-in as 1:30 PM, our arrival experience was quite disappointing. When we got there, the host seemed unaware of our booking and later stated that check-in was actually at 2:00 PM. We waited at reception with no assistance, and no one came to check us in.
After making inquiries ourselves, we were eventually told the unit was ready. However, upon entering, the cleaner was still working, and the apartment was clearly not prepared. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes before it was finally ready.
Even then, the condition of the space was not acceptable. Cleaning tools like mops and brooms were left stacked in the bathroom, which felt unhygienic. There was no toilet paper provided initially; the cleaner had to bring some later.
The host never showed up in person throughout our stay. Communication was minimal and only occurred via text after I had to reach out for basic information like the Wi-Fi password.
Speaking of Wi-Fi, it was frustrating to discover that the building uses expiring internet access. In today’s world, reliable and straightforward internet access should not be this complicated.
Additionally, the air freshener in the lobby was excessively strong and overwhelming. A more subtle scent would greatly improve the overall atmosphere.
Overall, this experience fell short of expectations, especially in terms of communication, cleanliness, and basic guest readiness. There is definitely room for improvement
